The interior line got whipped as bad as the tackles. That's half the reason Romo had so much trouble, there was no room to step up to avoid the rush.

Blaming that performance on one injury is just not accurate. The whole line was putrid.

This was very true and very concerning to me. It's why I see OL as the only priority this offseason.

But the injury did have an effect. And it wasn't just one. Columbo wasn't 100% and clearly would not have gotten many more snaps if not for the Adams injury.

Vikings had key players out too. Didn't seem to faze them. Free should of been starting the last two games at RT. But, don't think it would of mattered.

Losing Flo did hurt, but, what hurt more were the protections being called out. or, lack of protection. the whole line was horrible and got whooped.

Still, excuses have no place in football.

Final Scores of our last game of the season the past two years.

This says something about the coaching Staff..

at some point in each of these games the team gave up. That is on the General... like in War... the General = the coaching staff

it is true

We didnt give up this game...we flat out got our *** beat by a better team.

Give the Vikings some credit they are a better team.

44-6 & 34-3 are what happens when this Cowboys team plays a healthy team that is good and well-coached. We got way to overly optimistic when we beat the Eagles last week; a lot of that victory was due to insurmountable injuries they suffered this season.

We lost 1 OL yesterday and act as if that was the game. The Eagles were on their 4th stringers on the OL and still managed to get to a PO game w/ us. Had we been in the same situation we'd be looking at a top-10 pick in the draft.

Look back at the preseason. I ws roasted for being so upset that the Vikes starters manhandled our starters because is "was just preseason. These games don't count". Well, they didn't handle the Vikes then and the exact same thing happened yesterday.

Is there hope? I think so. Tony was waxing poetic about the games they lost that had they won, they would have had homefield, not the Vikes. It's small, but if he really means it, it's a sign he is starting to realize that the devil is in the details. It doesn't matter the amount of talent you have, if those players don't put 100% effort into each and every game. See TNew and RW.

My biggest worry is that guys like Brooking are not going to last long enough to see this team to a SB, and his leadership is essential to this team. And I really have a hard time convincing myself that we'll ever win a SB w/ Jerry. His organizational structure just doesn't instill that confidence in me, but we shall see...

You know the same better team had Chicago put up 36 on them just a few weeks ago, and were easily handled by a Matt Moore led Panther team before that.

Its not like those guys have big red "S"s on their chest.

I do give them credit because they came in and took care of business much better than we did, but I also think some of our guys may have spent too much time listening to Trent Dilfer last week.

So untrue!!! Because you get beat doesn't mean you gave up. The Vikes Dline whupped our Oline, giving up had nothing to do with it. That's just stupid!!!

Calm down there Colombo. You had a bad day. Don't worry, you still get a game check after playing possum against the Vikes.

Unlike the 44-6 debacle in Philly, I never got the sense that anyone "quit" yesterday. Sometimes, you just get your *** handed to you.

You make a good point. Too much talent oin the field to get blown out 34-3.

.

Every scout and qualified professional in the league knows that this is true. We were outcoached as well as being outplayed. It's not like we are losing epic back and forth battles, we are getting blown off the field.

No it isn't. The give up/no heart excuse is just a gut reaction from a crying fan who can't understand how and why things happen on a football field.

Injuries are never an excuse but often a valid reason or explanation for why some teams succeed and others fail.

Many fans can't except this simple fact, because that can't handle the uncertainty of it.

They need certainty and more importantly, someone to blame for thier hurt feelings.

Losing Flo hurt, but we were still probably the healthiest team in the playoffs, so we really don't have a lot of excuses there. The fact that we have failed in the development of OLinemen for the past 5 years is our fault alone.

Turning the ball over multiple times and squandering scoring opportunities primarily through poor play selection have become a certainty and malady that afflicts this team far too often in "win or go home" contests. No hurt feelings, just a recognition that we have been here before and need new leadership at the highest level.
