As far as this game is concerned, I expect a double digit victory. Nothing less. There are no more excuses for Zimmer, Parcells, the veterans or whoever. If you can't beat the 49ers, you don't deserve to go anywhere.

Like the old EF Hutton commercials, "they make the money the old fashioned way...they eeeeeearn it" or some such line; The Cowboys didnt take care of business Monday night, and after letting the MNF football game slip from its grasp, this Cowboys team :star: is going to have to earn any modicum of respect it gets now, starting with next Sunday. A loss in SF and we're staring down the barrel at another 5 or 6 win season, as Dale says.

You guys predicting a 5 win season if we lose to the 9ers is absurd. Overreacting a bit I'd say.

We just got done beating 12-4 team from last year on the road and subsequently threw one away after staring a shutout in the face.

We're 1-1 which most people predicted after 2 weeks anways (albeit, we arrived there different than we thought).

One week at a time I say. Anything can happen as the first 2 weeks should tell you.

The 49ers are horrible.

They have a rookie head coach.

They have one of the worst owners in the league.

They have very little talent on either side of the ball.

They have one of the worst quarterbacks in the league.

They have one of the worst running games in the league.

If we lose to them, we deserve a 5 win season.

This is a great topic, if we get angry enough at the niners, and they act like they can win, this will feel more like a victory and less like a slam dunk, thanks niners for talking trash and making this week feel important.

The 49ers have no real ground game and a low second-tier QB. I don't see their pass protection being able to handle the blitz, and personnel-wise, their D has no depth, and in some cases, no quality at a variety of areas. If they contend they are equal to the Cowboys, then let them enjoy the fantasy.

I guarantee you SF will be playing to win. They have owned us for 10 years; the only exception was QC's rookie win. I remember the game about 8 years ago in TS in which half the starters were hurt and Rice and some rookie QB laid almost half-a-hundred on us. We were supposed to beat the daylights out of them then too. I loss to SF would not suprise me one bit. Remember, after we beat Carolina in 2003 we cratered and lost our next two game by double-digits. Last year we cratered after the Giants game was it? This year I predict we'll crater after the 'Skins loss and be lucky to win 4more games. I can't think of anyone in our Division that we can beat.
Time will tell...

Surely you jest? Owned us for 10 years?

Guess you are forgetting 1992, two wins in 1993, 1996

Please..

Like Sean Salisbury said on NFL Primetime yesterday, the only thing the Niners should be guranteeing is the Number 1 pick in the draft next year.

And I'm pretty sure that the next coach Jerry hires won't be up to Bill's calibur. In fact...I have a feeling the next coach will be just another puppet.

Oh, I don't know, here's someone that would be available and definitely not a puppet ...

Jimmy Johnson, who has a NFL career record of 59-45 after an 8-8 season in 1996, was named General Manager and Head Coach of the Miami Dolphins in 1996, becoming the third head coach in the club’s history.

Jimmy Johnson became the first, and one of only two head coaches in football history, to win both a Super Bowl title (Dallas Cowboys-1992 & 1993) and an NCAA Championship (University of Miami-1987).

Jimmy Johnson served as head coach of the Cowboys from 1989 through 1993. He became only the third man in NFL history to coach consecutive Super Bowl winners, winning Super Bowl XXVII in 1992 and Super Bowl XXVIII in 1993. In his five years in Dallas, Jimmy Johnson led the Cowboys to two NFL championships. The first title in 1992, coming just three years after the franchise produced a 1-15 record in 1989. In three of the four years that followed Johnson's initial season with the Cowboys, he was named the NFL Coach of the Year by at least one national news media outlets. During that time, Johnson's clubs compiled a four-year record of 50-22 (.694) and the Cowboys won 39 of their last 50 games (.780) under Johnson. In addition, Johnson's postseason winning percentage of .875 (7-1 record) is the second best in NFL history, behind only Vince Lombardi's mark of .900 (9-1).
I'd have a whole Lot of respect for that coach -- and some improvements would be made! Count on it! But you don't have to believe an Eagles fan, I'll bet there's some other senior Cowboy fans that could tell you that!;)

Most 49er fans actually dont believe they are better than us, where did you hear that?

I've been snoopin around some of their forums and besides the "HATE FACTOR" they actually respect us fairly.
