its funny when ppl say TO is a bad teammate... I would think you would have to be his teammate to judge if he is a good or bad teammate.

What next or why not call him a Bad brother or a bad son?

but better yet some ppl who call him a bad teammate have never played team sports... its like calling someone a bad driver and youve never had a drivers license.

ask yourself has a bad teammate ever effected your play on any level?

I don't like TO, to be honest with you.

However, there is no way in hell I forsake this team because of him.

So as long as he's with the Dallas Cowboys, I grudgingly root for him to do well.

I also undersatnd that he has a pretty huge impact on our offense.

Agree with that, I think TO is overrated, but I'm not dumb enough to see the impact he draws with double teams.......... I always liked Glenn better myself was always a big TG fan but oh well we are 4 deep at WR so I can't complain.

I agree with everything except grudgingly root for him. I just say I root for the team and for him to help the team do well. Semantics maybe but oh well.

I have felt the same way about players in the past and also another player currently on the team.

But I put team first.

When I look at Owens in his prime on the field, I see one of the greats to play the game who's only weakness was a dropped pass here and there, but was one of the most complete receivers ever.

But when I think of him off the field, I see a borderline nut job who never learned from his mistakes in SF/Philly and regardless of those foolish enough to believe he's changed, just remember he's yet to be confronted for his b.s. like he was there and each time, he reacted with hostility, including putting a beat down on Hugh Douglas, questioning Garcia's sexuality and questioning McNabb as a man, which he still did in Dallas. And yelling like a maniac on the sidelines numerous times since he's gotten here and at times, blaming everyone else for the loss. He was foolish to think all the hell he raised for most of his career was just gonna disappear in Dallas and the media wasnt going to focus on his sideline rants and use his words against him that he himself just couldnt control by keeping his trap shut. This guy has no control over his emotions and when they're the result of negative things going on, he can go off any minute. He's just yet to go off here cause he's got a HC, OC, QB, and worst of all, an owner/GM with an ego to match, all kissing his *** to make him happy. It's disgraceful how a franchise this rich can let one guy just hover above it.

The sad part is if he hasnt learned by now that he's nearly killed his legacy, he'll never learn. Most people dont talk about him being an all timer, they talk about him being a cancer. Most people dont talk about him having "The Catch II", they talk about him catching Hugh Douglas with a right hook. They dont talk about the NFL record 22 catches or the 200 yard games, they talk about him screaming like a maniac on the sidelines cause he cant get one catch. They dont talk about his 9 catches for 100+ yards in the SB that doctors said he wouldnt be able to play in, they talk about him spitting in DeAngelo Hall's face.

And the end of the day, there comes a time where Owens and his followers need to quit acting like it's all the media's fault this drama hasnt gone anywhere and he needs to look at the mirror and ask himself doesnt he care about saving what's left of his legacy.

Owens won me over for his play, for his good behavior and for the most part he hasn't done anything really negative with Dallas. The most negative thing he's done with the team was bash Bledsoe (who deserved to be bashed and Owens was right, Romo was by far a better QB) and sit out some practices under Parcells because of a bad hamstring (most coaches in the NFL let their veterans rest, Parcells is the exception).

I think it's a case of fans and media members being hypocritical. All of these critics of Owens in the past said that they like the guy because he doesn't get in trouble off the field, they just wish he would straighten out his attitude. Unfortunately, they fail to see that he HAS straightened out his attitude. But because he's playing for Dallas, they refuse to believe it.

I generally like Madden, but even he should've been able to spot Mr. Blue Suit's BS when in the Giants game Madden mentioned that the difference between Dallas and SF/Philly is that Owens still wants to stay in Dallas. If Owens really did have a problem with Witten and Romo, he would've wanted out of Dallas. That's just the way he is. But instead he never wanted that and thus it's pretty simple to rationalize that Mr. Blue Suit's story was a crock.

But again, because he's doing it right with DALLAS, a lot of fans don't want to accept that. If he was doing it right with say the Chargers, there would hardly be any stories on Owens and the fans and media would admire him for "turning his life around."

how can you think he is overrated if he constantly requires a double team. How is he overrated when he has more touchdowns than any receiver since 2000.

The way I tend to look at it....

I love the Dallas Cowboys. I root for all of the Dallas Cowboy players. Therefore, I root for TO. I think he's a genuinely good person, but I also think he's very immature and overly sensitive.

When it comes down to the individuals on this team, however, I am proud to call Ware, Newman, Witten, and many others Dallas Cowboys.....and others I'm not. I am not proud to call Owens a Dallas Cowboy.

The fact that he has more than Marvin Harrison in that time span should open eyes.

I think T.O. can be put into three different categories for Cowboys fans.

Love him - Great player. Great guy. Misunderstood. Will defend him to the end of the earth.

Tolerate him - Appreciate his talent, but don't have any strong feelings about him personally. Like his on-field talent. May be critical, but don't immediately see the negative re: him.

Hate him - Tolerate his presence on the Cowboys. Will celebrate his on-field achievements. But dislike him personally and can't wait til he's off the team.
I would say im in between loving him and tolerating him, He is a great player, he is sometimes misunderstood, but sometimes get a little frustrated with some of the things he says

I tolerate him. Only because he's a great player and contributes.

im wit ya. Iknow he also brings unneeded drama as well, but SOME of it is because of his past. I love having Eldo on the team but wish he would shut up sometimes and let his ball skills do the talking. His mouth is his advesary.

What are you talking about? Why would Shoeless Joe be a bad teammate?

Sure, there are other bad teammates you mention like rodman, and maybe you are right...maybe TO isnt the "worst"...but he is the "worst" current NFL teammate. He is a cancer, a tempermental little ***** with the iq and social skills of a 12 yr old girl. The day we get rid of him, the better.

I can't help but think of White Men Can't Jump...when Woody Harrelson's character explains why he doesnt like Wesley Snipes' character (aside from tax evasion). B/c TO "would rather look good and lose...than look bad and win."

In the words of the great Mike Singletary..."I WANT WINNERS!"...we all should.
