i could see the niners getting out to an early big lead and stunning us and then we win it with seconds left. seems to happen every time we play them except for 2014 when we werent ready for anyone first game of season.

9ers. Steelers. Packers. Giants. Skins. Eagles. It's rivalry season. Just need the Texans in the Super Bowl.

Texans in the SB? I could not live with that thought. Outside of the NFC East Houston is the one team I do not want to see ever make it to the show.

Houston is 1 of 6 teams to never have reached the SB lets keep it that way. lol

The only time I've ever cried after a game was after the Catch game when I was 11 years old. So it's Steelers and 9ers as 1a and 1b on my most hated teams out of the division

I was there 3 years ago for the Romo cracked ribs/Jesse Holly OT game. Flying out again Friday for this game, my daughter lives in Mountain View. When I bought the tickets I was hoping Romo would be back, but now I'll get to see the young guns, gonna be great!

Actually 5 years ago! I was at that game too... time sure seems to fly as you get older

After last weeks performance, you shouldn't have to worry about that.ha

True. lol

As I just added to the thread Houston and 5 other teams have never reached the SB and I would like that to stay in tact.

We're competitive, winning games. 1 loss by 1 point in a close contest to the Giants, 2 other games we won handily.

Meanwhile the 49ers have been blown out by the Seahawks and the Panthers after notching an easy win over the Rams in the opener.

I like our chances the way we've been playing on both sides of the ball. The D has reached average level, which is all I was hoping for this year. 20, 23 and 17 pts surrendered in 3 games, as long as we can hold teams below 24 points and the offense scores 27 or more - which it's done twice so far - we should be fine.

When it comes to actual points surrendered, Dallas is 10th in the league after 3 games.

The D is getting some turnovers, which were exceedingly rare last season. 2 interceptions plus 3 fumbles forced, of which Dallas recovered 2 = 4 turnovers in 3 games. That's a MUCH better pace than last year.

I see the 49ers as another confidence builder after the Bears before we enter a tough stretch vs the Bengals, the Packers and the Eagles.

all that may be true but then the Rams took down the Seahawks, Buffalo trounced the Cards and Panthers are sitting at 1-2 and Unbeaten Giants were beat by the 0-2 skins at home. I don't take any game for granted.

I agree but we beat the skins handily? Lol they should've won by 20.

This is another game that Dallas cannot afford to lose. Not in the slightest. We have gb, cinci, steelers and division games that are going to be very very tough.

These gimmie games like the Browns and Niners have to be wins. Same for the average teams on our schedule like the Ravens. Gotta win those.

I was thinking the same thing. If Cousins doesn't throw that pick in the end zone, we most likely lose that game. Of course, 9 out 10 games against the skins come down to the final drive, so I wasn't expecting anything different.

Not to hijack this thread, but I adore your avatar. I met David Lynch about 3 months ago at a transcendental meditation group he runs in West LA, he does a lot of work for veterans with TBI.

I often give you likes just because you have Lynch as an avatar (you also make wonderful points, but I digress) :)

Sorry OP, it's been killing me

Those numbers mean nothing. SF has played the Rams, Panthers and Seahawks. Two of the games were on the road. We will not have the abilities on defense any of those three teams have on defense.

The thing that concerns me about this weeks game is the 49ers Defensive Coordinator Jim O'neil. He is a rex ryan/Mike Pettine descendant and he uses all kinds of odd fronts and hides his rushers well. This will be the week Dak will be challenged Mentally. Against seattle SF on 3rd downs used all different alignments, none of which worked because Wilson beat them repeatedly in and out of the pocket.

on sunday sf rushed 3 and dropped 8 on a 3rd and long then on the next one it looked like they were rushing 3 and when the ball was snapped they brought 7 and what looked like press man turned into off zone.

This will be a challenge for our offense. Not to mention Kelly knows our defense and he has a punishing runner in Hyde who I bet they don't go away from using.

I was checking out the Niners forums and most think we are going to beat them big. And most thought our offense will put up big numbers. Especially our run game.

The general consensus was that their LBs suck and our OL and Zeke will run at will against them. If this is true, we should just run and run more then play action when needed.
