Dallas might have a chance. The 49ers are having a ton of problems right now. But you know they will run all over dallas with ease. Its all on the offense.

Home field is a huge deal in the NFL.
This week is no different

Only 3 road teams are favored out 16 games
Unfortunately, SF is one of them.

Go Cowboys

Dallas will win this game.
Dallas - 34
49ers - 30

The 49ers D is hurting from suspensions/injuries/free agency and the locker room is in turmoil. That spells for a disaster.

When the schedule first came out I was predicting this game against the Niners as a loss, but SF has major problems both on offense and defense. I'm now believing that the Cowboys can and will win this game.

Offensive line has to show up. If they do, skill players will take care of the rest!

Who made Linehan the playcaller? Garrett? I don't think so. You and I both know Garrett would never give up playcalling completely on his own.

I'm not sure if you have been keeping up with current events but linehan was a garrett hire. Garrett didnt want to give callahan playcalling last year. This situation is different based on what I have read.

X's and O's wold mean they have to know something about football.

Besides, beating the play calling drum is like an addict getting another fix.

Next time we'll just ask you since you know everything and every post is sarcasm aimed at someone..lol

I understand what your saying and I respect that. Its just that I believe that every move made on this team is approved/disapproved by Jerry and I don't mean just his GM responsibilities.

I have my own jerry issues...no question...but I'm excited about the linehan addition both for what he brings and for the positive impact it should have on garretts in game management.

Actually home field in the NFL is not as great as most would assume. While only 3 of the 16 road teams are favored, if you look over the last decade of games in the NFL the home team wins about 57% of the time.

So home field does exist, but not to the extent Vegas would have you to believe.

As a Cowboys fan, it pains me to say I do not believe they have any kind of home field advantage and haven't for years.

Dallas was 5-3 at home last year which is 62.5%......................actually above the 57% historical average for home teams over the last decade.

There is a difference between winning percentage and home field advantage IMO. We can win at home, but it's not like other teams who clearly have an edge or advantage when they play at home.

I hear yea, we don't have an intimidating home field like Seattle does. Teams are literally scared when they walk into that stadium.

I don't necessarily buy that Dallas' offense will be this well-oil machine from the outset. This unit hasn't proven itself to be efficient for some time, and we saw nothing in the preseason that would lead us to believe we have some juggernaut on our hands.

Personally, I would expect the offense to eventually play itself into form. San Francisco might be a good team to start off against given their current state. They may not be completely intact, but they should be plenty physical. A good punch in the mouth would be good. Here's to hoping we return the favor.

Honestly, I see us competing hard and working through some things. Silly me, I honestly thought clubs spent August on this, but I digress... Feels like a 49er win, by more than a touchdown.

Except this new stadium does not provide us with a good home field advantage. We are not as good at home as we need to be.

I agree that it's been bad for awhile but I've noticed an uptick, especially last year, in how they play at home vs away.
The offense definitely is more dynamic at home. But that could be due to more than just crowd noise or familiarity, as it seems the play calling is more aggressive at home.

I totally agree with the statement earlier about true home field advantage vs better odds...and Seattle was a great example.
Combine a great defense with deafening noise (recall Dallas at Minny in 2009 Playoffs) and the opposing offense has no chance.
