They are probably thinking the same thing about us after our performances in the preseason.
Does the same not hold true for the Cowboys?Fun story. Rod Marinelli's 0-16 Lions went 4-0 in preseason and allowed a total of 26 points in 4 games.
They went on to not only lose every game, but in only 3 of 16 games did they hold the opposition to less than 26 points (and one was 25 - most were in the 30's and 40's).
Pre-season scoring results don't mean anything.

Completely. The only thing I take from the preseason so far is that we can't in any way, shape, or form so far stop the run. And that we have no one particularly good at rushing the passer who doesn't have a broken foot or bad knee.
But to start making assumptions on what the 49ers are, or what they will be, based on scoring in preseason is a fools game.
The same as saying we can't stop the run. One doesn't hold true if all doesn't. Can't have it both ways
The run defense might well look a lot different with Melton playing. Or with McClain and Melton playing. And both offenses and defenses will look different when they start game planning. You can tell we've got some individual players who don't hold up well agains the run, though, in the interior DL.
This year, you know 2014 the one we are getting ready to play?

San Fran dominating tonight.
That is a different team than the one that will be in AT&T Stadium playing the Cowboys. 4th preseason game played with nothing but scrubs is pretty worthless.
