Games still have to be played, OP. Our offense could have explosive diarrhea the night before the game and be sick the next day, or the SF D could all do roids like the week leading up to get amped.

With that many new starters their D won't be as good as it's been which gives the Cowboys offense an opportunity to put some points up opening day.

I think we lose a close high scoring game. It may come down to ST and we may pull one out. Our offense ususally plays well on the opening day and I think we will again this year. The defense is going be pretty bad I'm afraid. Especially if one of our starting CBs go down. If Carr goes down, we are going to be in big trouble. Claiborne, Moore, and Patmon as our 3 CBs without a pass rush is going to be brutal.

The game will come down to who can outscore the other because both teams will move the ball. With all the changes on SF's defense the Cowboys should be able to put some points up. The Cowboys couldn't be catching SF at a better time with all the distractions they've had the latest being McDonald's arrest. I can see Dez having a big game but it won't be enough because the Cowboys D won't be able to stop them.

Their defense may be decimated, but ours is expansion quality................if we force more than 1 punt, it will be an impressive showing.............LOL

I don't agree they have a duel threat QB who can extend plays hurting you with his legs and arm. Plus they have one of the top backs in the league. The Cowboys have issues defending the pass and run. Just look at their front 7 arguably the worst in the league. Enough said.

Their QB is more dangerous on the run, than in passing. I do not fear Kap's accuracy one bit. We have a good enough secondary to compete with their WR's. Where we may get burned is at TE, and QB scrambles. I also want to point out that our DL as decimated as it is.... looks better on paper than the current 49ers DL.

This is still a top 10 defense.

nfl.com said the league will probably wait until the legal process is concluded so he's probably playing. The one I don't understand is Josh Brent. He met with the commissioner the same time as Aldon Smilth.

Expect this to be a close game down to the end and i really like our chances compared to earlier in the offseason, but Gore hasn't been one of the top backs for several seasons now and when healthy demarco is just as good if not better.

This is still a top 10 defense.

Justin Smith hasn't been the same 2011 smith, and will turn 35 in less than a month. Willis and Brooks are approaching 30.

I just don't see these guys as being fearsome. After 3 years of great defense play, I just don't see them keeping that going since the payoff has never been there.
