I mean that's everyone in the league I don't know why they thought otherwise. You have to move in that pocket.
I hear ya.

i do wonder how much if it was still mental from the ankle injury.

He has barely used his legs since then. If he is mentally returning to a place he was prior to that injury. That’s a good thing.

The coaching staff couldn't figure out that our OL is garbage this year until that game?

Even Martin has been very average and Steele has been Mr. Turnstile. Dak needs to run much more with the way the OL has been playing all year.

He has to use his legs more as it adds another element that the defense has to be worried about. We saw it today, corner decided to leave Lamb that turned into a TD. Him having such a bad injury a few years ago, it's more of a mental thing.

It's year 8.

Another example of something this dude should've known years ago.
While his comments cause concern for his overall growth as the QB for the Cowboys, this is something our team failed to consistently do with Romo as well. Remember all that pocket passer Tom Brady crap? Romo was at his best when he was on the run. Most games had stats showing he was consistently one of the best QB's on the move. Yet, we failed to take advantage of it. It's the same with Dak. Go back and look at the offense with Dak. When Dak is moving around, and not necessarily running for yardage, the offense does well. I put this more on coaching/front office.

Took him awhile to realize how bad this offense was and that any sot we have is on the move with his legs.
Eh, I don't see it as an indictment on the offense.

The NFL almost requires QBs to be mobile nowadays. Defenses have gotten too good and there are no more "fortress" offensive lines.

The days of a Peyton Manning or Drew Bledsoe sitting in the pocket and lighting it up appear to be over.

The best QBs in the league nowadays are mobile and use their legs the best.

Dak was a sitting duck against the 49ers, and without a run game, that's a recipe for disaster. I'm just glad he learned from it.

The ankle injury played a part but it is mainly coach brainwashing that convinced him to not utilize a natural instinctive asset of his game. It started with Jason Garrett.

It is not wrong to fit your quarterback into your offensive scheme, although it is better to acquire a player that FITS your scheme. Even so, coaches should not forget what makes a player special when they scouted him either.

Possibly. But he was just stepping back and throwing the football. It was very odd.

Said this for years. I’ve repeated it 100 times here. I love watching him when he rolls out and gets to the edge. He’s actually a better passer. I think post injury he got scared. If we ever are going to go far he needs to throw injury concerns out the window and go
