i really thought we were going to treat it as if we were in 4 down territory.

it was one of several bad decisions made by the coaches throughout this game

were moving the ball and that killed any kind of momentum we had

Ya know, I don't mind a bad decision. A coach has to make dozens of decisions during the course of a game.

This was just gutless and a horrible communication to send to the team.

As an aside, what did Wade think this was going to be a 14-10 final score. Yeah, if you're against a team like the Jets, 3 points means something.

Against the Vikings?

Please.

Gutless as well as dumb.

We were thouroughly blown out. I admit that. But if we go for the first down there, who knows how the game would've been different? Bad decision.

Agreed.

I was not pleased with going for either of those long field goals. We have a guy whose already proven himself to be up and down. I'd rather we either punted there, and tried to pin them deep, or went for it. I like our odds of both those situations better than giving that guy a field goal shot from 48+ yards.

For all the reasons stated, it was an utterly undefendable call. It was heartless, gutless, it was soft, and it was WADE.

In the regular season, Wade would have gone for it, like he has many times.
Exactly.

That's the weird part. Why deviate from what's been working?

Kicking the field goal there was gutless and showed absolutely no confidence in the team. It was a HUGE mistake.

I agree.

Bad decision because:

1- Field position if ya miss

2- The FG kicker, who my guess is won't even be with the team next year, has been less than reliable...and is anything but a given from that distance.

3- The Vikings couldn't stop the offense.

4- In the playoffs a FG isn't 3 points...it's a loss of 4 points because, especially with an offense like the Vikings have, you have to score TD's

5- Horrible message to send to the team.

6- Read #5 another dozen times.

Not when you have a coach with cotton balls.

I wished they went for it...
I remember in the NO game we were in the same position
4th and 1 or 4th and 2 early in that game, just same situation
like today. and we went for it and got it

why we went conservative this time around??? IDK

I absolutely despised that decision
it pretty much made my stomach turn

just cause he made one last week they did it
I'm convinced they based the decision on that

What I think we had to realize was that the chance of getting 1 yard was greater than Suisham's chance to make a 47 yard field goal.

I agree bad call.
