It wasn't fourth and one yard!!!CanadianCowboysFan;3237931 said:I just can't stop thinking we should have gone for it in the first quarter. We were moving it constantly on them, were deep and a first down would have been huge.
Romo looked like he wanted to go for it but we didn't. Missed the FG and the rest is history.

The term "gutless" is overused on this forum, but I think it applies in this case.
Awful, awful call.

It was fourth and one foot!!!
They had not stopped us once before that foolish decision.
If you are going to win, then go out and win by trying not by playing the odds playbook.
I hate Wade!!!
There's a big difference between going for it ahead in the 4th quarter and not going for it and kicking a FG in the 1st quarter of a scoreless game. I don't agree with the call and would have went for it but to make Ryan out to be some risk taker is silly. Wade would have and has went for 4th downs on plays like Ryan did today.Juke99;3238638 said:Can't argue with ya there.
I just watched that blowhard Rex Ryan go for the kill shot on fourth and one vs the Chargers.
Wade would have sent the FG unit out.
Uh wrong, punting says hey we don't want to go for any points because we don't trust our kicker so let's give it to their offense. Punting would not have been a statement.Juke99;3238633 said:This wasn't an outdoor game with the Doomsday Defense vs the Purple People Eaters...it was in doors, with Brett Favre and Tony Romo...ya knew it wasn't going to be a defensive affair.
And if the warped logic is that Wade had faith in his defense, then show it and punt.
But Wade being Wade, he didn't take a stand either way. Going for it, would have been a statement. Punting would have been a statement.
A simple risk/reward and percentage analysis would have told him to either go for it, or punt.
The kick from 48 yards would have matched the longest Suisham had made ALL SEASON.

Juke99;3238901 said:and for those of you STILL supporting the decision Wade made, try this post game quote by Jerry Jones on for size...
“Before the game, we weren’t confident with anything over 44-45 yards,” Jones said of Suisham’s practice kicks. “So we had him try a few beyond that — 46 to 50 yards — and that was dicey.”
