4th and Long... **Spoilers**

I know everyone says the winner doesn't have a chance to make the team but if Hawkins can return punts at a high level he might find himself a roster spot.

Holley is playing good but nobody is on Hawkins level. Its not even close.

So if he doesn't win it is because of his height.

for how small and fast he is, you would expect him to be quicker, he has long speed, but just not that explosion

JMO and of course my various enemies will pop up to disagree with me

Returning punt is the only way I see him making it in the NFL.

I know he isn't going against professionals but he has done a nice job of breaking tackles.

He is interesting none the least.

Like I said already Hawkins would be the most valuable to bring to camp due his small size and speed. He would be great for our db's to get practice against D.Jackson/S.Moss/A.Randle El type shifty fast guys.

Holley drops the ball ALLLL the time, and did it in college as well.

Neither would make the team,so it'd make more sense to have Hawkins for practice purposes and hope he catches on as a Return guy.

We need a punt returner :D

I hope he can or someone else steps up and shows they can. Bottom line for me with the 4th and long guys is they are either too small or too slow they are not new to scouts and while the show is entertaining it is still scrubs vs scrubs. They have heart but they lack the ability which is why they did not make it in the pros after leaving college. If a guy is dedicated to going out and giving it everything he has on special teams ala Bill Bates you just may make the team.

Wait a sec, wasn't it already leaked that Hawkins doesn't win since he's with his CFL team? Did I miss something?

That doesn't mean anything. Im sure there was some agreement that took place with the players before the show started.

Oh I know about that, I'm just saying there had to be some sort of rule saying players cant go elsewhere until it's over. So he may be able to work out some agreement in case he DOESNT make it

The best player on the show is Matchbox Hawkins and its not even close. The 2nd best guy is not even on the show anymore_Preston McGann. McGann is a big receive w/great hands and is nimble enough to play in the slot. Only problem is that he is "too raw" and "might not be be physical enough".

Holley is the default #2, but his problems are not vague at all. He's slow and he has inconsistent hands.

The DBs, especially Moses Washington, are complete scrubs.

He might be a track guy, but other than that he has nothing to offer.

He has been decidedly underwhelming in drills that should favor track guys.

I think Holley is the most consistent of these players, and is the only one I would even consider at this point.

Has anyone considered that at the end, Irvin might cut both of the remaining two and tell them they had what it took to win a reality show, but not what it takes to play for the Dallas Cowboys?

But this show was done filming a while back, no? How recently did Hawkins sign with Toronto? If he just signed a few weeks ago, it wouldn't make much sense if he had already won the show.

With that said, from the episodes I've seen, Hawkins is the runaway (deserving, at least) winner as a receiver and special teamer. None of these guys would probably make the team, but at least he brings a little something different to the table -- a shifty, made-for-the-slot receiver who can return punts. Holley is less than your run-of-the-mill big, slow receiver in my opinion.

To update, here's an actual story on Hawkins and how he fits into Toronto's picture. He has some quotes in it that unfortunately make it fairly obvious he doesn't win the show.

That was posted here a week or two ago. I don't think it's conclusive one way or the other.

And to answer your question, Hawkins signed with Toronto back in December, before the show. Like I said earlier, there might be some arrangement that says he can practice with them before our training camp (if he's the winner). We won't know for sure, I suppose, until the finale or until someone publishes a definite spoiler.

Irvin always said that the winner would be working out with him.
