5 backup OL

The Dalton criticism I have seen in this forum is quite unfair. But, what do I expect with this group in here. Not much. And it has shown..

Anyhow, yea, 5 backups and probably camp bodies are basically the Cowboys O-line now. Dalton had no chance, especially after Zeke, once again, helped the opposing team get some momentum. Defense still sucks and let it happen, but, there is no complimenting on this team. Defense doesn't help the offense with a TO or big play at all. Offense doesn't help the defense with turning the ball over frequently. It is a complete mess. Every way shape and form. Got one blowhard in here still trying to blame Dak. Or bringing Dak into the convo that isn't needed. Look, Dak wasn't going to do much last night either. This season, I have seen no difference between a Garrett led Cowboys or a McCarthy led Cowboys. I thought for sure there would be more intensity, desire, something. There is nothing. The "star" players on this team have phoned it in. There is no leadership. No hunger, drive, nothing.

So yeah, 5 back ups at Oline. And not a player on the team that is able and willing to take this team on their shoulders and push on.

Blow it all up. Fire coaches, get rid of players. Start over. Nobody should be safe. Salary cap be damned.

We better start running an option offense. Then again, 21 fumbles a lot.

The defense is bad, although they ARE getting better. Doesn’t matter, though. The “high powered” offense has regressed, and may be near the bottom. Backup OL, backup QB, fumbling RB.

Draft and trade for: DT, OT, S, LB, CB.
Switch DC.

I would say Philly. But Kelce is always there
Yes true.
And Wentz went from 81 TD's and 21 INT's over the past three seasons with a decent offensive line and protection to being all over the place in his first three games of this season when playing behind a decimated offensive line without protection. Yet most people were just claiming that he was always a terrible QB! Embarrassing really.
Aaron Rodgers another example. 13 TD's 0 INT's heading into the Bucs game this season. 2 INT and then the protection breaks down and he can barely move the ball.
Worrying signs looking ahead that we have guys off the street protecting the QB.

I have to say I actually felt sorry Andy last night.

On the one hand he has never had weapons at the skill positions like he had last night...yet he played behind a offensive line without Smith, Frederick, Martin and Collins! I mean he couldn't have come in at a worse time over the past 4 years really! It's like having a lamborghini but not having the money to actually fill it with gas.

He had open receivers. Just panicked and went with the dink and dunk

At times he did and he had a poor second half, missing throws that I expected him to make. When a QB is constantly under some form of pressure like Rodgers was vs the Bucs it's just so difficult to find their rhythm

Yeah its just a comical scenario at this point. It's hard to move the ball in this situation but somehow found a way to do it prior to Arizona.

I think they have to get Jordan Mills some looks at a tackle spot. Erving presuming he's healthy has been best inside and can play some tackle.

Did you not see the pocket constantly collapsing around him? Some of the passes he completed he literally had people within two feet of him on every side
I mean...welcome to the NFL.

Dalton doesn't have the arm strength to throw deep outs or much down the seam, and he doesn't see the field well to compensate for that. The OL will exacerbate those problems, but that's exactly why he's not an NFL level starter.

That's because lots of morons on here were hyping up Andy as something he's not: a starting QB. He can win you a couple of games if things go right, but he isn't transcendent.

Can't argue with that. Agreed.

I thought dalton played a decent game considering the pressure from the defense
The turnover got us in a hole and when you are forced to pass you better be able to block
Dalton is what he is at this point
A good backup QB

yeh they have had Dillard and Lane Johnson out .. but backups are just decent enough to allow them to function.

they even manage to stay close within Steelers and Ravens .... whereas those teams will have us like Ostrich heads in the sand ..

Has anyone ever seen that outside of a preseason game? I’ve can’t remember it ever happening but here we are.

Nope. I do expect Biadasz to remain a starter, he has been put in maybe before coaches wanted to but I think he has done a decent job. Outside of that it is hard to do much when the OL is missing all it's key parts.
