New Uniforms, Please?
My gosh, that uniform combo is the bee's knees. I appreciate the classic silver/green pants, but that silver helmet/navy jersey/white pant combo should become a standard.
If you think the silver pants are better, then you're wrong. I know you think you're entitled to your own opinion on this, but you're not. Sorry.
Crayola Offense
It's time to put down the crayons and throw out this preschool offense. It's literally been said FOR YEARS, that our offense is predictable. I have no idea who is actually in charge of the offensive scheme, in terms of X's and O's, but the the ole "You two run straight, you run 5 yards and turn around and you run 5 yards and then turn right." day in and day out makes me want to club a baby seal.
Dak is not Wentz
As much fun as it has been reliving the Dak vs Wentz threads every week, like we passed on one to take the other, this goes deeper than that. They have completely different play styles. Dak needs guys that create after the catch in order to put up big numbers, as we saw today. The Muppet Babies offense we run doesn't help, but he's never going to be the type of player that just airs it out deep, his play style is conservative and it'll likely open up slightly with time but he'll never be Peyton Manning. I understand why it's a shock considering what you see around the league and coming from Tony "The Gunslinger" Romo, but the scheme needs to adjust to Dak's style.
Resign Hitchens, Cut Scandrick
Scandrick's, "I'm a mean grouch with a chip on my shoulder!" act has worn thin. I don't think the defense misses him when he's out, and the young guys aren't getting much by way of leadership from him because he thinks leadership is about being cranky.
Hitchens, on the other hand, has developed into a nice piece of this defense. Assuming the money isn't out of this world, he should be back long term. Lee had 18 tackles, even after taking a series to "rest", but Hitchens wasn't far behind him with 14.
It's still the Giants, dude.
It's nice to win, especially agains the Giants since I live in NY, but the offense looked like hot trash in the first half. Now that we hung 30 on them, Garrett gets to pretend to be a human through another week of press conference besides the fact that big plays by Dez and Dak to Rod were really the only thing that made this look like a blowout when it was actually much closer. Don't get it twisted, the Giants are awful. We did not beat a good team today
