Well my pet peeve is when it's third and eight and they do a seven yard pattern, time and time again, they end up yard short, almost all the wr's have been guilty of it. I do want to see Witten go deep down the middle, Troy said this was where the 2-deep that NY plays is vulnerable...

I agree. I also don't want to see the stupid slow stretch play.

I think this is a great play; it just needs to be called against the right kind of defense (like the Giants!) and with a healthy back who can cut.

Denver has a lot of small, fast defenders so stretch plays make less sense, but that play gives the back usually more than one opportunity to cut back upfield. One missed tackle or good block and Julius could make a very big play.

I don't have a trouble rolling Bledsoe out, but they only seem to use the one play that really sucks most of the time. Why have a play that has Bledsoe throwing on the run? That's just not smart. If they're going to roll out, it needs to be designed so that after he rolls, he can stop and set his feet and throw it anywhere on the field. Much like the 39 yard strike to Glenn last week.
You've got to change things up once in a while so defenders don't always know where Bledsoe will be. Rollouts are good plays-- remember that 39 yard pass to Glenn vs. Denver?

5) Inside the 15 - that wasted -asinine straight Dive to Barber on 1st down - it's like clockwork - he always seems to run it.

4) Any part of a rollout in the EndZone from Drew Bledsoe - the sight of that play on Turkey Day was heartstopping -wherever in the world they pulled that out of-stick it back.

3) That foolish Hitch to Terry Glenn - especially after it's been run to Key 4 times.

2) That moronic - overused FAKE REVERSE Dive to the halfback that Goes ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE!!!

1) And the number 1 play that we should never ever see again - that cost us the T-Day Game ...the play that Troy Aikman says makes ZERO sense - Is that hideous half moon rollout by Bledoe - running toward the sideline looking for Keyshawn to be there - who has to make a perfect Tippytoed catch on a perfect dart while Drew is lumbering. As Troy said - the play makes no sense b/c you limit yourself to 1 option and you cut off 80% of the field. Foolish

Oh yeah ...I don't wanna see any throws to Dan Campbell in the flats that go over his head by 9 feet into the arms of a DB - the other way for 6.

Totally agree, someone with connections needs to send this list to: Parcells, & Payton.

We should see a play action pass to Witten on 1st or 2nd down whenever we're inside the 5.......as a RULE!

I don't want to see that play where they snap the ball to Romo and he puts the point of it on the ground and places the tip of his index finger on the other point...especially with the game on the line.

I thought it had to work to be clockwork........just a thought.....but i agree, most of these plays a seldom effective. That rollout to Key isnt a bad play on 2nd and short or 3rd and short once in a while, but if you do 2 or 3 times the same game it becomes predictable.........and we all know how that turns out!!

The only play I really don't want to see is a screen. Don't get me wrong, I love screens, but this team hasn't been able to run them all year. Bledsoe has no touch under 10 yards and our linemen can't enforce their will (or can't sell the play) enough to keep guys out of our RB's face. Every time it's run I just hope that Drew isn't breaking an ankle or the ball isn't intercepted.

As for the roll outs, I don't have any problem with those. Some plays you run, not because they are successful, but because you make the defense account for them. If you always keep Drew in the pocket you allow the defense to overload sides on the blitz and not worry about containing the QB. I don't want the DE to be able to close his eyes and rush, because he knows where Drew will be.

That is why you are going to see at least a couple of screens Sunday - you have to keep Strahan and Osi held back just a bit!

Yep...Against Arizona, the play calling in the beginning of the game was specifically designed to give the DE's something to think about so they couldn't simpy pin their ears back and go after Bledsoe.

I'd expect some of the same here.

I think the screens (at least the middle screens we run) are more about keeping the DTs and MLB conservative, something I'd much rather do with draws. To keep the DEs honest I'd like to see some quick pitch sweeps, roll outs, or checking down to the RB in the flat.

How could you leave off the reverse to Key? What a genius play?!?! Of course its great to keep a defense on its heels, but sometimes defenses don't expect plays because they're just horrible plays.

This play actually worked admirably early in the season, but it's clear now that other teams have caught on. It almost cost us a few more games.

How about what we DO need to do? How about start giving Tucker a longer leash and allow Bledsoe to take some 7 step drops? These 3 step drops don't give the receivers enough time to get downfield.

Plays I don't want to see...

Any 5 yard out to Keyshawn

Any 2 yard drag to anyone

That fake reverse dive... maybe this is the game they have been saving the full reverse to Crayton, throw to Glenn play for

The five yard slant to Keyshawn

Oh and I'm starting to get worried about the endzone back shoulder fade to Keyshawn...

Plays I'd like to see..

Can we run the draw out of the shotgun to Julius... that was his bread and butter last year.

How about the Witten block/fall down play to the backside.. I think Witten has been wide open both times variations of this were tried this year, but neither was completed.

Witten down the seem would be nice

Bledsoe is slow, can we get some pitch plays outside instead of having Bledsoe walk the ball 4 steps on a stretch play?

Oh and please test these guys deep off play action

They can toss out that play they called on Thanksgiving on 3rd and short where Bledsoe throws it parallel to the line of scrimmage to Glenn near the sideline. That play may work when the DB is laying 5 or 8 yards back off the line of scrimmage.

And I don't care how many times it works ...I HATE THE FADE PASS IN THE ENDZONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
