Yup...
Trying to sneak him through waivers is a bad idea...

I like Dowdle, and Shampklin. But not so much I want to waste a roster spot on 4 RBs. That would be stupid.

So, I think the Cowboys axe Dowdle, if they're smart.

Probably carry only 3 TE with Hendershot to the PS
I am willing 2 say Hendershot will get picked ^ fast if we either cut him or leave him on the PS. Furthermore, he will be a star in this league because he might be the best TE route runner, best hands and most fluid, that was in this last draft in 2022. Thats high praise(for an UDFA) but this kid has alot of Jay Novacek in him.

If that is the approach this team took we would’ve cut Romo and Dak….Demarcus Lawrence too.
Really? I don’t think so at all. DLaw broke his foot his rookie year, came back and at least showed SOME flash in the PO game against Detroit. Romo maybe benefited from a QB situation that was pitiful but he earned a spot and he played well in preseason action. And Dak was insanely good in preseason, I’m not sure how you can say he didn’t earn a roster spot.

These IMO aren’t comparable to Wrights situation; okay he had some injuries and that’s fair, but he’s playing poorly now. Let him play it out the rest of preseason but I’m not how he fits the 53 bc I don’t think anyone feels comfortable if he has to start at CB

Wow. So that means he’s out for the year as far as Dallas is concerned.
Not necessarily with the way IR works now. But I’d bet that with the plethora of TE they have now he won’t be activated from IR.

Dak in camp wasn’t very good. He was third string behind Romo and Moore. He was battling Showers.

Joseph and Wright have both showed upside. I’m just saying there’s more to gauging these guys than just preseason games.

As far as I know. If you go on IR prior to week one, you stay there or the team has to release you to sign elsewhere.

I think you are right. But, they still have to pay him. They must be hedging their bets.
