I'm already hearing people compare the Broncos to "great SB defenses like the Vikings or Steelers" Seems very few are aware that only 1 time after half a century has a team been held to under a TD and that was SB 6.

This is a record and a streak that is truly great and long standing.

Try to always remind people when given the chance.

I know every SB game I exhale after both teams score a TD.

Super Bowl IX basically had the Steelers pitching a shutout except for a special teams TD by the Vikings off a blocked punt.

Semantics of course.

And we have won 5 titles.
1 of every ten.

1 every 10.....easy their....that is looking at the glass half-full....reality check...3 in 5 years an then a 20year drought....its been 2 decades since the Cowboys been to the Super Bowl. A whole generation of kids were born, they graduated HighSchool moved on to College or started a family an still WAITing for the Jerry Jones Cowboys to sniff a championship.

Reality sucks but hey it's been Jerry Jones way for 20yrs.

The achievements of this franchise deserve to be remembered and even celebrated despite the long drought. We remain America's team because of that rich history. Fans either love us or hate us not because we've done anything worth loving or hating for recently because of the legacy that was established under Landry and then cemented under Johnson.

Similarly, I still can't stand Pittsburgh because of the '70s or the 49ers because of The Catch.

Up through SB 30, we won roughly 17% of the SBs, participated in just under a quarter of them (23%) and reached over half of the Conference Championship games! Over half! Since then, the Cowboys are batting 0 in that category. Tell me this vain nepotistic crew hasn't destroyed one of the greatest franchises in sports history.

They've been taking lessons from the Ford family in Detroit.

I swear some of the posters on this board are family members of Jerry Jones. Or work in the PR department for the team.

I am embarrassed at the lengths we go to sometimes....to keep ourselves in the conversation with the current WINNING organizations in the NFL!

I admit...I used to be "that" fan too. And all of my friends would joke me about bringing up "old stuff". Well that was about 10 years ago...and I stopped doing it. But I never thought we would STILL be bringing up "old stuff" 10 years later!

For us old-timers we have come to realize that we live in the " here and now" world. It's all about instantaneous gratification.... I for one wondered what Tom Brady felt walking out there and realizing he wasn't going to be on the field. Not that I'm sad for him, just the realization
that he is one of the all time winners, and did it at times with less than a Steel Curtain, Doomsday, or even Seattle D...

Still great to see classy Roger S, and more recently Emmitt and Troy among those honored... along with the Manster and Mr. Lucky Larry Brown

I watched the Boys make the playoffs 20 years in a row...we live in opposite world now. My 19 year old son has only seen two playoff wins.

I think of all the things I miss about this franchise, I miss them being an innovative franchise. Now the Boys are just copy cats, trying to copy the Pats and now the '90s Cowboy teams that Johnson built.

That's what happens when you buy information instead of earning it with the long, hard and lonely hours scouting, etc.

Well, I believe free agency and the salary cap did most of the destruction, but Jerry Jones learning on the job hasn't been helpful.

I think they beat the Mesopotamians, 24-3, that day.

That divisional game against the Hittites was tough though.

Well after 20 years of not playing in any super bowls I guess this is what we have to celebrate
