I swear some of the posters on this board are family members of Jerry Jones. Or work in the PR department for the team.

I am embarrassed at the lengths we go to sometimes....to keep ourselves in the conversation with the current WINNING organizations in the NFL!

I admit...I used to be "that" fan too. And all of my friends would joke me about bringing up "old stuff". Well that was about 10 years ago...and I stopped doing it. But I never thought we would STILL be bringing up "old stuff" 10 years later!

weird post dude, lighten up

The Dallas Cowboys were not going to be denied.

......Romo fans think that he is being unfairly picked on when it comes to the choker tag.

Prior to the 1971 season the entire organization charged that dubious tag....the team, the coach....

Two so close losses to the Packers in the NFL championship games, both on the last play of the game. The winning team went to the first two ever Super Bowls.

But 1970 was the worse. They reach Super Bowl 5. In the last two minutes of the game the Cowboys have the ball deep in their territory with the game tied 13-13. That when Craig Morton threw one of his signature totally dumb INT's. The Colts didn't gain an inch but didn't have to. Their rookie kicker scored the winning points with less than a minute.

In this Super Bowl they made sure to erase the demons. They swarmed the legendary Miami offense. Larry Csonka fumbled for the first time that season. Bob Lilly chased Griese like an escaped criminal, sacking him for a 30 yard loss. When it looked line the Dolphins were finally driving, last year's SB MVP Chuck Howley stepped in and would have returned an INT all the way but pretty much passed out with exaustion around the 30 yard line.

It was a beautiful day to be a Cowboy fan.

America's Team. 5 Super Bowl wins, tied for 2nd-most all-time. 34 playoff wins, tied for most all-time. And I've personally gotten to witness 3 of those Super Bowl wins.

Damn proud to be a Cowboys fan. We're still "the bad guy" to SO many other fanbases because they're ultimately jealous of our stature and our success.

I know a Bills fan who remembers the '90s all too well and the Cowboys - no, not the Patriots, a division rival - are his most hated team.

And people on this board complain as if we're some bottom-feeding loser franchise!!! Never ceases to amaze me. Unless you're too young to have basked in the '90s glory, you have nothing to complain about as an NFL fan.

We were the best franchise in football & Jerry has actually turned us into one of the worst. Those are just the facts, two decades of abject failure isn't an aberration, it is the new reality. The only hope for change is a relinquishing of football control by the Jones family.

By no reasonable metric whatsoever are we "one of the worst" NFL franchises. LOL. We've been average for 2 decades.

That doesn't even begin to wipe away what we accomplished before that. And if you don't believe me, our good friends at Forbes will gladly back me up.

Why do you think we're still SO popular? Why do you think we're still SO hated by everyone who's not specifically a Cowboys fan?

We are HATED because we are treated like WINNERS (on TV in primetime the most, worlds best stadium, best cheerleaders, richest sports franchise, every good WR we get is the next #88, we are often the lead story on SportsCenter etc..).... for LOSING.

Hardworking people don't like to see people get rewarded for lack of production. And not only do we get rewarded....we get rewarded above all others. And as a hardworking man myself...nothing burns me up more than to see people get by with "smoke and mirrors".....as opposed to good old fashioned roll up your sleeves hard work.

The facts are this....the leftovers from 1995....have shown that they could not have possibly had much impact on winning in the early 90s...because 20 years of doing it THEIR way....has produced some of the most embarrassing moments in franchise history. How can the architect of this franchise even form his lips to say "Super Bowl"....when we have like 2 playoff wins in 20 years! I don't think some of you fans grasp how COMICAL this has become!

We have 3 playoff wins over the past 2 decades, including one from 20 years ago. That is less than half the average playoff wins per team league-wide over that period. We have become one of the worst NFL franchises under Jerry's disastrous guidance by definition.

"we're still SO popular" ...."Forbes will gladly back me up" Do you work under Charlotte in brand management? What fan cares more about ratings than on-the-field victories, or cares about ratings at all? Weak beyond belief.

Jerry has done a MASTERFUL job on many of the fanbase. We have won so much OFF the field....I think he has convinced many of the fanbase to adopt his thinking that this is entertainment and the goal is to throw the biggest party every Sunday. Don't care what team you root for...don't care if you are actually watching the game when you are there...but I do care that you have a good time....and by all means come back...and bring all of your friends that are Packers fans, 49er fans, Commanders fans etc....

LOL at "playoff wins" as a reasonable criteria.

Super Bowl wins matter. Playoff wins are ultimately irrelevant. We've been roughly .500 over the last 20 years. That's AVERAGE any way you slice it.

Well, 0 of those in the past 2 decades.

Playoff wins are ultimately irrelevant? How do you think that you get your Super Bowl wins in the first place?

I forgot, you are the guy that is happy that we are Popular and stuff.

No, I'm happy that we're America's Team and that we have 5 Super Bowl wins to be proud of. Those are also the reasons we're so very hated by all non-Cowboys fans.

You're the guy crying about being a bottom-feeder because you prefer to be a Debbie Downer.

.500 over the last 2 decades is average. No surprise that you're not reasonable enough to accept that obvious reality.

I'm already hearing people compare the Broncos to "great SB defenses like the Vikings or Steelers" Seems very few are aware that only 1 time after half a century has a team been held to under a TD and that was SB 6.

This is a record and a streak that is truly great and long standing.

Try to always remind people when given the chance.

I know every SB game I exhale after both teams score a TD.

Was that the year after Bob Lilly threw his leather helmet about 40 yards at the end of the game? Gosh it has been a looooooong time. Sad to have to pull out all the best Cowboy days from deep in the prefrontal cortex of the brain, almost need self hypnosis to achieve that.

If only I could delete this past season from my hard drive.
