Looking back over the last 50 years, we Cowboy fans have been blessed at the Quarterback position compared to the rest of the league.
:flagwave:

There's always more to than just QB rating but just looking at that dating back to 1971, I was able to look at:
1--The Dallas Cowboy's QB Rating for that year
2--The Average QB rating for the league in that year

Compare the two and we can get a pretty good reading of some of our best performing years.

I have the full 50 years of results but here are the 15 best according to how great the Passer Rating was in the year it occurred.

  1. Staubach 1971____insane 104.8. (1st) League ave was 62.2. So 104.8/62.2. Maybe the best year in league history.
  2. Staubach 1973___94.6/64.9 (1st)
  3. Staubach 1977___87/61.2 (2nd)
  4. Staubach 1979___92.3/70.4 (1st)
  5. Staubach 1978___84.9/65 (1st)
  6. Aikman 1993___99/76.7 (2nd)
  7. Romo 2014___113.2/88.9 (1st)
  8. White 1982___91.1/73.4 (4th)
  9. Romo 2011___102.5/84.3 (4th)
  10. White 1981___87.5/72.9 (5th)
  11. Staubach 1975
  12. Staubach 1976
  13. Aikman 1992
  14. Romo 2006
  15. Aikman 1995
If you have a year that you're curious about, I can get that for you.

Go Cowboys

In before "Dak is better than all of them". At least that is what I expect to hear from the Dak crowd.

To his credit, he has already had some good years
2016 and 2019 were both top 25 all-time for Cowboys and top 10 in the league that year.
2021 Could end up that way too.

It's all relative.
Cowboy fans have been lucky regarding QBs...in general.

I miss all the baseball players and rejects that they trotted out at one time.

Dak was 3rd (104.9) in 2016 with the league average at 89.3. And 5th in 2021 with 100.5, but league average is 90.8
That's right!
104.9/89.3 = 1.17
100.5/90.8 = 1.11

PRs have been rising for 50 years.
A bench warmer now would have a passer rating like Aikman.....lol
The only way to look at it is how you just did....relative the year they played.

Cowboys have been so good that those two years came in 18th and 24th best

Staubach is a loser compared to Dak. Just ask his fans....

Everybody knows Roger Staubach is in a class all by himself. Strawman arguments. Say your opponent makes claim they never made and then hammer it to death.
No one said Dak is in Staubachs orbit period. That's what I hate about you noodle Brains. You don't argue in good faith. Because you are a liar and the truth ain't in you.
Say look at those Dak Zealots they are saying Daks even better than Captain America!!!!!!!!!
Weak position. Youre pathetic!!!!!!

Dak Ain't finished yet. (That's what you want) Let the young Guy play
