That 4th quarter was surreal. I wish it got me more excited but they had the win sewed up a few minutes in and I felt really bad for Matt Ryan (last start of his career maybe?) and Jeff Saturday (slinks back next year to broadcasting after an epic fail as a coach?)

Five consecutive drives with turnovers by the Colts.
Five consecutive conversions of those possession into touchdowns for Dallas.

Has that been done in NFL history? It sounds like something that would happen if 2019 Alabama Crimson Tide played McNeese State in their season opener. Or it sounds like something that would happen in an episode of The Simpsons.

I wasn't even cheering on the last two, just looking at the tv with my mouth agape.

It reminded me of Super Bowl 27. As we watched it unfold, I even mentioned that to the family about half way through the quarter. I literally said, watch, the defense will get another turnover and score in the next 2 minutes. Boom! It was awesome.

I like Jeff Saturday, always have. That said, I didn't feel sorry for him at all. There are way too many coaches (not just minorities either) who put in countless hours, sleepless nights, God knows how much of their family lives they sacrifice and never sniff a shot at a head coaching gig!

I like the Colts too, picked them as my preseason upset to come out of the AFC (yes I fell for it lol). I may have even said as much somewhere on this forum. I felt sorry for them when things started to go south. QB benched and coached sacked, i was empathatic. The minute I heard about the hiring of a person I like by an organization I was mildly rooting for....all my feelings turned to disdain for the proccess and the disrespect it shows the coaching community. It makes the Rooney rule look even more like a joke, and I wasn't sure that was even possible.

Again, I like Jeff, but I don't feel sorry for them. I hope they have a miserable rest of the year to be entirely honest.

Matt Ryan will give you the ball if you let him. Dude fumbles and throws errant balls under pressure routinely.

I know a guy who's a Colts fan. He angered me once. No mercy.

Despite the score after 3, never had a worry we would lose that game.

However, it was a big worry heading into the fourth quarter. Thankfully the floodgates opened and we took over.

Super Bowl 27 was similar. Would have been a 28 point 4th but for Don Bebe, or whatever his name was.

Despite the 35 point blowout that was a 2 point dogfight for 3 quarters. Would like to see the Cowboys get off to a more inspiring start.
Ya you and me both. thats the thing every game takes its own nuance.I dont know why the cowboys have to make things so interesting but they do more often than they dont. Its their identity. Id love to have games like the minnesota game every week but its just not realistic

Reminded me of the first SB win over the Bills.
