The media missed the fact Dan Quinn already got the best of Matty Ice last year when his Falcons lost to Dallas 43-3. They were talking about the Quinn-Ryan chess match like it never happened before.

That 4th quarter was surreal. I wish it got me more excited but they had the win sewed up a few minutes in and I felt really bad for Matt Ryan (last start of his career maybe?) and Jeff Saturday (slinks back next year to broadcasting after an epic fail as a coach?)

Five consecutive drives with turnovers by the Colts.
Five consecutive conversions of those possession into touchdowns for Dallas.

Has that been done in NFL history? It sounds like something that would happen if 2019 Alabama Crimson Tide played McNeese State in their season opener. Or it sounds like something that would happen in an episode of The Simpsons.

I wasn't even cheering on the last two, just looking at the tv with my mouth agape.
I like when we dropped 50+ on Buffalo in the SB

NBC let us know that the 33 points in the 4th quarter was the 2nd most in NFL history but they never said what the record was.

Dallas' previous high in the 4th was 25, in October 2006 at Carolina, Tony Romo's first NFL start. Dallas trailed 14-10 going into the 4th and won 35-14.

The Lions scored 34 in 2007 vs the Bears.

The Washington Commodes scored 35 in one quarter vs the Broncos in the SB.

The coach for the Colts seems to be in it for the quick money.
If that's the case he took it like most people would. I don't think he impacted their season one way or another. They weren't going anywhere with an obviously washed Matt Ryan at QB so they can now focus on the draft.

It wasn't professional football, that's for sure. It was like a college team running up the score against a team that was broken.
Matt Ryan should be benched after that performance; makes you wonder if he is one of the guys mad about Saturday being named as interim head coach? The Colts quit, and they still could have made the playoffs!
Personally, Jeff Saturday couldn’t be blamed if he got rid of Ryan on the spot.
Peculiar how the game was tight until the fourth quarter?
I've seen several things this year that I never thought I'd see in the NFL.

This is what happens when you have a QB that can score TD's instead of FG's and can get you a nice lead. Then your pass rush can tee off.

Despite the 35 point blowout that was a 2 point dogfight for 3 quarters. Would like to see the Cowboys get off to a more inspiring start.

Waaaa waaaaa waaaaa

2nd halfs are more important than the first half if your going to nit pick. Its not like were getting blown out in the first half.

I remember that Panthers game. That was the game TO winked at the skycam before kickoff.

It reminded me of Super Bowl 27. As we watched it unfold, I even mentioned that to the family about half way through the quarter. I literally said, watch, the defense will get another turnover and score in the next 2 minutes. Boom! It was awesome.
I thought that too.

30 years of watching and I saw it once before, the Buffalo Bills Super Bowl.

Maybe not in one quarter, but that pile on.... for sure.

You only have to wait until this Sunday. The Texans game will be over by halftime.

I don't care what their record is, to hang 54 on an NFL team is always an impressive feat.

Think we'll hang 54 on Houston?

Hopefully the team doesn’t feel that way or we may witness the biggest upset of the season. That would be more embarrassing than the lost we had to the Texans during their very first game in franchise history. Philly got behind to the Texans earlier in the season. The Cowboys better be ready to play. By the way I don’t think the game will be over by halftime.
