There was definetly a few hard choices, mainly do we keep a FB, because we will keep 4 RB's. If we do not keep a FB a roster spot could go towards a 6th WR, a 8th Lber, or a 3rd DT, but we have a few DE's that can also play DT.

Noticable Cuts-
Tyson Walter, Torrin Tucker, Leonardo Carson, Ogbogu, Keith O'neil, Al Singleton, Lynn Scott.

Ok, now you can tear it apart!

Good job.

The cuts on the DL are going to be very difficult to make.

Nice list. I think it's very close.

Thing I like most about your roster is Tyson Walter being gone! Though I do think you are probably spot on with the whole thing.

I dont know if we'll keep 4 TEs and the depth at DT is scarey

Well its 4 TE's in name only.. Robinson is the Long Snapper and can serve as an emergency TE.. But he's the snapper on the goalline or punt formation..

As far as DT/NT goes, you have a couple of DE's that can line up at DT/NT as well

There are a few things that have kept Tyson Walter around for as long as he has been......

First- We have had terrible depth at all of the OL positions in his tenure here...

Second- He has the ability to play all three positions tackle, guard and center... Not saying he was a super at it.. but he could adequately hold the position together in case an injury arose..

Those things being said.. I don't believe he makes the final cut as we have great depth and players that can play multiple positions.. I wont be all that sorry to see him go because it means that the talent has greatly improved!!

I agree with Bickerstaff at FB. I think that there are more things that he can bring to the table.

If I counted correctly, that's actually 54. But it is hard to count and scroll down at the same time.

I don't think we'll carry a fullback this year. We just don't have any that are worth keeping over guys like Scott, Singleton, and Ogbogu. As far as cornerback goes, I think we'll end up with only five. The top three are well proven, and none of the others would be that difficult to part with. We may end up with five safties, given the uncertainty at FS. Hopefully one of the young Ends will prove that he is versitile enough to play a few downs at DT.

why cut singleton

IMO he brings nothing, and has no upside.

He does ok being in position, but just does not make plays.

Does not fit the 3-4 at all.

It does not sound like he is getting reps at all in practice, at least I have not heard a thing.

Yep...Way to short on experienced backers...1 proven starter and three part-timers and two rookies does not sound like Bill's dream squad.

Even if one reminds him of LT

Singleton even in '03 was a non-factor in way too many games

Singleton in the run game against a 255-270 LB TE is not good

Ya got Ogbogu, Thornton and our Tennessee rookie to do the job

What we lose in experience we gain in upside

The more and more I see this team, the less convinced I am that there is a fullback worth keeping. And Barnes' injury can't be helping his cause. We'll see, things can change.

Do you feel Bickerstaff has a chance at FB?

With our TE's we really dont need a FB.

I think Carson is going to be hard to cut. He has the most bulk outside of Ferguson.
