The more and more I see this team, the less convinced I am that there is a fullback worth keeping. And Barnes' injury can't be helping his cause. We'll see, things can change.

Bill expressed concern re Spears in Sat's pc, and went on to mention two players who he needs are now injured.. the other one was, somewhat surprisingly, Sean Ryan.

Everyone feels many more two te sets are going to be run this year , and Ryan could spell Campbell.

If there were a fullback who could do ALL the things Richie did, he'd have a better shot. But if Bickerstaff can simulate lead blocking, JJ and the other tails have soft enough hands for receptions...those Anderson skills will be covered. And we got Crayton to throw the occasional sneak TD pass.

I still think if a mega powerhouse fb like Bill's beloved Sam Gash came down the road, we'd see how quick Bill reverted to the more traditional lineup.

But I 'spect that fb roster slot will be going to a te.
