#53 Pick Anthony Fasano ND

Did his old man play with Parcells?

Is he a relative?

Not a very good draft so far for the Boys......

Back to the old ways again.......

There has been talk of us taking a FB, could Fasano be more of a H-Back for us instead? He's a decent receiver, a very good blocker, and he's got good size. Anyone else think that this is the case?

Stupid pick.... there are holes in this team and TE isnt one of them

aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

***

this pick sux

winston should have gone here

im psdoff

we already have witten

aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhh

I thought Hannam was supposed to be the blocking TE.

We just spent a 2nd round pick on a position of strength for a guy who is going to be a third stringer when we already had two capable third stringers.

I think we have lost our minds here. Winston should have been the pick here.

being compared to Mark Bavaro. BP loves LB's and TE's. Anybody who is 6-5 250 he'll look at.

I aint sitting thru any of this anymore. I am disgusted with this TE pick. I would have rather picked a Kickoff specialist with this pick!:)

LOL! Ya, who needs a FS or a DT or an OT. LOL!

We need 2,453,344 TE's on our roster!

Ditto. Guess Parcells is still fixated on those Northern/Italian-named TEs...Stupid.

A Te, second rounder?!?!?!?

I really like fasano, it's just we don't need him AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's a quick write-up by Gosselin:

There could be as many as four tight ends selected in the second round: Marcedes Lewis, Leonard Pope, Anthony Fasano and Joe Klopfenstein. Lewis won the Mackey Award last season as the best tight end in the college game. Klopfenstein is big (6-5, 255) and Pope bigger (6-7, 258). But maybe the most intriguing prospect is Fasano, who left his senior season on the table at Notre Dame to turn pro. He reminds NFL talent evaluators of another Notre Dame tight end – Mark Bavaro. "I pride myself on being an all-around tight end, a tight end who doesn't come off the field in any situation," Fasano said.

53. DALLAS COWBOYS (f/WAS/NYJ)
Anthony Fasano TE | Notre Dame | Scouting Report
Good player and a solid value but I think they have bigger needs than a backup tight end.

I guess we don't have any holes... seriously. I assume he's a pass catching TE... I sure as hell hope we're not drafting a TE for blocking in the 2nd round when we could actually draft OL to do the blocking

I think we have lost significant ground to Philly and NYG today so far.

I like the pick. Other than Witten, who do we have?

This is insurance at a key position.

If Witten gets hurt, we have a quality player. Not to mention, he has the talent to develop into a good blocker.
