59 Year Old Granfather Playing College Football

What an adorable publicity stunt. :laugh2:

Of course, the school gets pub, too - so everyone wins.

That was my first thought, too. Second thought was, so what, though, it's still awesome if he can be competitive. Not so cool if he's just out there as an organ grinder's monkey.

Same here. I'll be interested to see how it plays out. I just can't imagine how a 59 year old could get out there and physically compete with teens. Even if you're fit, there are some things that stretching and lifting can't stop, like joint decay and bone-hardening.

Also, Trickblue just won the internet. That is absolute freaking solid gold.

Trick, don't give the Midget any ideas...I'm serious!

:laugh2:

Trick, I'm glad I wasn't drinking anything when I read that or it would be all over my screen. :laugh2:

I've had good luck with stretching helping my bone-hardening.

Trick, I'll have your children, if you ask nicely.

He wound up at Sul Ross in 1969. An NAIA school then, the Lobos were in the Lone Star Conference with East Texas State, which at the time had future NFL stars Harvey Martin and Dwight White, and Texas A&I, which was starting a two-year run as national champs. The highlight of Flynt's two years at Sul Ross was sticking A&I with its only loss in '69.

Did anyone catch Norm saying this morn that he was the, Public Relations Director, or something like that I believe, at SRS when this guy was there the 1st time?

I'm thinking this dude's triumphant return, is gonna end badly, like with a memorial plaque, badly.

:D
;)

Finding out he was, Flynt returned to Sul Ross State this month

Lobos, Baby!

I played there my freshman year.

There's nothing to do in that town but drink and ... well, you get the point.

Ah yes, my former school making national news, again...

Lobos!

Can the skins trade for him?

They would draft him but they probably won't have any draft picks.

I redshirted my frosh year in '92. I just couldn't handle the fact that my high school did much better and had more people in the stands.

This is just cruel. You know they'll be debating this move at ExtremeSkins.

10 pages minimum.

Hos, it drains me to even think about going through two-a-days at 19/20 years of age.

This is just insane.
