Never mind Flynt's wrinkled, saggy physique -- Gibbs and Co. have obviously and wisely learned from the Doom McClune experience and gone in the completely opposite direction. Flynt may have only run a 5.2 40 and benched 225 twice at private workouts at Commanders Park, but measuables are overrated. Sources tell me Gregg Williams said this guy's instincts are unmatched. Besides, Fred Smoot only did one rep, and he's one of the most popular Commanders in recent memory.
Most importanly, Flynt's the most life-experienced NFL player ever. For that reason, he'll be invaluable to the young LBs like Rocky. Rather than wasting years on getting worn down by NFL snaps, this player already has the guile and savvy that Coach Gibbs craves.
And the topper is that we're getting this guy out of the Cowboys own backyard. That'll make it all the sweeter when he's terrorizing our biggest NFCE foe.
Kudos to our F.O. for once again thinking outside the box and going off in bold directions that no one else has followed. Winners always go off the beaten path, and this is no exception.
