From my understanding the issue isn't the injunction it is if Texas has jurisdiction. If 5th rules no on jurisdiction Zeke would have to appeal for an injunction in NY.So if I understand this correctly, this is the actual case and not the injunction. So if briefs are not due till November, you are looking way past the end of the season before a decision will be made. In other words, if the injunction is upheld, Zeke is pretty much safe for the season.
Is that about the gist of it?
That's my take although, quite honestly, at this point I really don't see Elliott missing any games this year. It's too easy to stall and Elliott has the irreparable harm argument on his side.So if I understand this correctly, this is the actual case and not the injunction. I think there are still a few things in playSo if I understand this correctly, this is the actual case and not the injunction. The GFL (Goodell Football League) needs a full blown enema............They have spent over a year now trying to discipline a player on a charge that law enforcement doesn't even believe happened.....meanwhile, they issue an immediate 2 game suspension on Danny Trevathan for trying to decapitate a Bears player..............proving that player safety is NOT as much of a priority as trying to drum up a 6 game suspension on something that doesn't exist.
I bet if Trevathan was a Dallas Cowboy it would have been more than a two game suspension.
I think there are still a few things in play
The NFL filed an emergency stay against the PI.... that will be heard Oct 2nd
The NFL appealed the PI to the CA5.... this new Nov 8th date is for those briefs
Then there is still EE's original suit against the NFL's award......that is in Mazzant's court
And there is the NFL suit in NY to validate their award.... haven't heard a word about this
Our players don't hit as hard as that. LolIf Trevathan was a Cowboy, he would have received a lifetime ban
And yet here you are in a thread about it...I seriously couldn't care less about this anymore.
If it wasn't so much of a blatant injustice I would feel the same way..........BUT...it is what it is.I seriously couldn't care less about this anymore.
lol, Ranch, that was just wrong....Our players don't hit as hard as that. Lol
It would seem however that the fact the 5th is wanting briefs in November would seem to indicate that they don't intend to kick it back to NY, it seems like they are wanting to hear the case themselves. Because if they are going to punt it to NY, why would they want briefs in November for a case they would not be hearing?
I think this is very good news for Zeke, seems to telegraph that the 5th intends to hear the case themselves in November, thus denying the NFL's claim of wrong jurisdiction.
And?And yet here you are in a thread about it...
Clearly you do care, someone who couldn't care less would have never opened the thread, much less took the time to comment, twice. And?
