I don't really think it matters. Whether the Eagles have a chance at the playoffs or not, you can bet they are going to do everything in their power to make sure Dallas doesn't go either. It is a hated division rival. They aren't just going to lay down and say, "Go ahead Dallas, go to the playoffs and enjoy".

You can bet the Eagles wants to beat Dallas no matter what the circumstances are.

I agree. I expect Philly to give it their best. I will say if Dallas can jump on top of them early it will be harder for Philly to keep themselves in the game mentally.

I am listening to 610 WIP in Philadelphia and they claim that the NFL moved the game to 4:15 EST to help the Cowboys get into the Playoffs.

The only evidence they have is that the game didn't need to be moved .

I guess that makes sense if you're a bitter Philly mook with nothing better to whine about during slow days of Christmas

I don't get it. Players still have to suit up and play the game. I don't consider it to be that much of an advantage.

I do however agree that what is good for the Cowboys is good for the NFL. Economic times are tough right now, and the NFL needs high profile teams to succeed.

I don't think the rest of the world would give a crap about a Cardinals vs. Ravens Superbowl, for example. However, Steelers vs. Cowboys would garner all sorts of worldwide attention, and help sell ad space that the NFL needs to sell for future Superbowls. Rumor has it that the NFL is really struggling with selling ad space.
