6th Round pick Sam Young

Oh well.....wasnt expecting much in the 6th......and especially someone to crack the 53 man lineup. PS maybe.......

Overall solid draft by the boys.........didnt Goose say the talent level drops off big time after the 4th?

no push, plays high, limited flexibility, catches the defender, poor footwork, struggles to get wide.

Smart, has a passion for the game, plays hurt

Like I said, good kid, just lacks the athletic ability to make it at the next level.

I'll give him this: looks like he has a strong initial punch, but it doesn't do him much good because he doesn't sustain the block.

To me he's the type of player who was pushed to play the game as a youngster simply because he was bigger than anybody else because he doesn't look like a " natural ".

Unless Pitt #97 is the next Reggie White, this is not going to turn out well. Still possibly better than McQ.

Let's hope the ND pedigree does something for this guy.

CZ fans crying about a 6th rd pick.

Its right there with sun rising in east, paying taxes and dying

Who's crying ?

All I've seen are opinions of fans who don't like the pick. IMO valid ones too, since most, if not all, of us were looking forward to getting a solid prospect at this point.

If all these comments are compliments we are in trouble with this pick.

The Jerry Jones sell job speech writers got their hands full with this one.

Face it none of us know how any of these guys will do in the NFL people claiming him as a waste as if we are pro scouts is laughable. I don't claim to know how he will do I also know no here knows how he will do. See how he fits in how he does before writing him off to prevent yourselfs from looking like fools

comparing him to pozderac might be insulting to ol(Hold Me) Phil.....

Cowboy scouting dept >>>> CZ scouts

Its a 6th rd poick. They tabbed a guy from a major program that played a pro style offense with NFL coaches, and the guy started for 4yrs. Thats not bad for a guy picked in the 6th.

in the 6th rd? look around all of these guys have major question marks that is why they are in the 6th rd instead of higher up in the draft.

Thank you. Give the kid a chance, geez. Because of this thread, I'll be pulling hard for him. I like this pick.

hahaaha save it for a 2nd or 3rd rounder. Someone who has a chance.

Does he get moved inside to OG? If he is a mauler and can't handle speed sounds like he would be good material for moving inside.

He is a Tackle all the way.

Shows 0 potential as a guard.

He also scored a 36 on the wonderlic, and he was under the tutelage of Weiss, so he KNOWS offense. Again, I say don't judge him until we've seen him with a star on his helmet.

Too tall to play OG

there were 2 or 3 guys I liked better but then I don't claim to be a scout just a personal view but yes this kid deserves a chance to show what he can do in Dallas before being writen off. He may not make it sure as hell would not be the 1st 6th rd pick not to make it. Guy is a 4 year starter he must have been doing some things pretty good to keep the job
