That shouldn't be the problem if we had a competent front office.
You just named off the BIGGEST ISSUE with this team. You can bring in Joe Montana but with this franchise until the 2 stooges up top decide to sit back on their yacht and count money and shut up we will constantly be like this

Tyron is a monster. He irritates me to no end because he's like Tony Romo and cant be relied on. He's also just as valuable. I cant believe this team folds like a cheap suit when hes gone.

They would’ve drafted Slater but it would’ve cost us Micah Parsons.

I think Tackle will be a high priority this off-season.
We made the right choice. Honestly. At this point. We go after the LT from Alabama trade up if you must. We have a 3 year window.

Losing Cooper really compounded the fact that Tyron is missing. Having a guy like Cooper who takes coverage away from everyone else and gets open almost immediately and you dont notice Tyron because the ball is out so quick. You lose him and it trickles down and you see no one getting open anymore. Its crazy. Again. Sunday should have been the Zeke and Pollard show but Moore refuses to stick to the run. It is what it is. I just want our whole team playing together. For once this season lol.

I suggested that we start looking for his replacement earlier in the year and a few members here went into complete meltdown because of the suggestion.
I'm sure they lead of their attack with "if you knew anything about football", right?

There's a few I won't name, but I'm sure you know em, that like to throw that out there before they spout off some nonsense.

Totally agree. Need to go heavy on the OL during this upcoming draft.

If only we could get a top 5 pick like Andrew Thomas to play in that spot for 17 games. I mean, that guy even scores touchdowns!

Just so people see the big picture, here's the cap hit for Tyron recently and going forward (minus any extensions that might come):

2020: $6,425,000
2021: $7,350,000
2022: $17,505,000
2023: $17,506,000

Just a couple random comps:

David Bakhtiari
2020: $10,966,543
2021: $22,768,000
2022: $26,268,000
2023: $30,268,000

Trent Williams
2020: $12,500,000 (I think)
2021: $8,187,647
2022: $14,120,000
2013: $26,270,000

Ronnie Stanley
2020: $12,866,000
2021: $10,042,000
2022: $18,552,000
2023: $21,552,000

Laremy Tunsil
2020: $14,100,000
2021: $9,293,333
2022: $26,153,333
2023: $26,803,333

One could argue, even with the injuries ignored, that Tyron is one of the best cap hit to quality guys in the league outside of guys on their rookie contracts. Just because a guy isn't out there 17 weeks doesn't mean that he's not an extremely valuable asset. The drunken lunacy of wanting to throw another premium first round pick at the OL each year just ignores the premise of trying to field the best team. Micah Parsons is having a year comparable to or better than LT's rookie season. Why would you want to stop adding firepower to another neglected position (I see you DT) or one with bad contracts/pending free agents (DE) just so that we can lead the league in offensive line cap hits and commited draft capital? The latter sounds like page 1 out of the Jason Garrett handbook, BTW.

Oh I agree. I wasn't suggesting that we replacement at the moment but it was time to start looking. He's great when he's healthy but we need to be prepared for the future and given his health issues, that could be as early as this year. You never know.

Anybody drafting Slater over Parsons needs to get their heads checked
Ya the only way i was getting Slater was if parsons was gone. I had Slater as more important than either of the CB's though. Parsons IMO was the best pick for the boys at the most needed spot
