7 straight losses to 7 straight wins

Why do you even post if you don't want some back and forth, even with those who may not agree with you? I mean, it's a message board so stop with this lame line of thinking. If you don't want folks on either side of the spectrum to reply to you, then just PM your favorite internet buddy and get all giddy in private and share your favorite Cowboy story.

We'd all like to see the playoffs but it's highly unlikely we go undefeated even with Romo back. It's not that I don't like Romo or think he's one of the best in the business, it's just winning 7 straight is a tough thing to do.....even the owner said it. Did you lambaste Jones in the thread where he questioned whether or not we could win 7 straight? I didn't think so.......

I asked simple questions. I didn't say anything like they shouldn't post. I asked why they do if they feel it's over. I wanted to know their motive and why it seems to make them angry when others are overly positive or delusional. I also told jobber to let them say what ever they want and that its entertaining after he warned them. So pay attention. You clearly have know idea what you're talking about.

Ironically you go on to tell me how to post and how I should discuss the Cowboys. This honestly has to be one of the stupidest posts I've read. Ever. Anywhere.

I am a fan who been watching football for 30 years and know that you have to be a realist and not a homer in situations like this

No one gets angry more than those who feel like Garrett, and to a lesser extent Jones, got slighted.

The stupid part of a post is when someone asks why someone posts on a message board dedicated to talking football and debating differing opinions on the subject. If this was Extreme Skins where any team dissent is silenced (because they bought the sight I think) then I can understand why there would be only pro-Garrett, pro-Jones and/or pro-anything Cowboys.

I mean, folks here debate the merits of Jimmy Johnson and even Troy Aikman of all people and all they did was build a dynasty responsible for winning 3 Superbowls. Not sure why anything else would be sacred message board turf in your world.

The terrible feeling is knowing that we could go undefeated in our remaining games and STILL not make the playoffs.

The wildcard is out of reach because of our dismal performance in the last 7 games many of which were against the very teams we would be competing for a wildcard against. We now have to hope somehow the Giants and Eagles BOTH implode, while we have difficult games against the Packers and Panthers, and the way we played today we could certainly drop a game against anyone.

Which is why you should not focus on the playoffs

No need for name calling..

You just keep on being miserable.

Seems as if you're confusing name calling with facts. But then again I'd expect nothing else from a homer.

Tell me how great those wins feel come playoff time and the draft.. Or are you going to stick with the laughable "there's always next year" mantra that always repeats itself?

And this is exactly what people aren't getting.

We had complete control of our own destiny in 6 of the 7 games that Romo was out and could only find a way to choke away wins.

We no longer control our destiny and it's pretty pathetic when we have no other choice than to hope that two of our division rivals choke away the division rather than handling business on our own.

This is what had made this season all the more frustrating and now it's to the point that each win now is screwing our team, granted there's only been one, rather than helping our team for next season and beyond.

I see the Giants possibly dropping 1-2 games at most with their remaining schedule and that'll be more than enough to knock us out even if we were to somehow go 7-0 in Romo's return.

Now youre just talking out of your neck without fact checking first. If the giants drop 2 like you say, and we were able to go 7-0 like you said in that scenario it would put us both at 9-7. Now explain to me how that is more than enough to knock us out? Lolol I bet you didn't even know the Giants were 5-5. Just in a rush to be negative oops I mean "realistic"

You guys are gonna be crushed Sunday night. We're not a good team, with Romo or without. I expect another close game, as usual, with another game killing mistake committed in the waning minutes of the 4th quarter

Wrong.

No, I'm a realist. This season was completely wasted and it's utterly and completely idiotic to think that we're suddenly going to go on a run and make the playoffs.

The only saving grace for this season would have been to get a top draft pick out of it. But unfortunately our ownership, and too many of our fans, are far too idiotic to realize that is the best case for this team going forward.

I've been a Cowboys fan for well over 30 years now and it's frustrating to see us get on these stupid "moral victories" at the end of the season that don't do anything to improve our team. Had they won just a game or few during Romo's absence then my attitude would be different. But these mental midgets couldn't even do that.

That just goes to show that Jerruh truly isn't interested in winning at the end of the day but rather dangling the carrot in front of the fans face just enough to get them to continue opening up their pocket books and keep buying the garbage that they put out on the field. And guess what, this year will be no different.

So you advocate throwing games for a draft pick? That's loser mentality.

If I was right, I certainly wouldn't come in here and point out the ppl who were wrong. I'm sorry, but I refuse to let this team get my hopes up for some kind of miracle run when they've proven how bad they are, all season long

But But we have to play Cam, the Packers in Frosty Green Bay and the Bills in frosty buffalo

We gone to win all 3 of those?

Thats great. It's obvious you're not reading my posts or replies. Again, I encouraged the debate to continue. I even prompted the mod after he told the negative comments to stop to let them continue because it is entertaining.
There seems to be a real disconnect here. I think you may be responding to the wrong posts because that's not what I'm saying at all. I simply asked questions of the posters. I asked them why it made them angry when others were positive and what was their motivation for attacking positive posts. As well as their motivation for posting at all if the season was over their point was made that they felt that way and continuing to get angry at others who felt differently was odd and I wondered why.

I stated clearly these weren't rhetorical questions. I was truly curious about what prompted them to continue with this over and over.

I for one was of the "season over let's get the highest pick" mentality.

I've changed my tune as is my right as a fan lol

For now, Romo is giving the team (and all of us) hope for a miracle and I want to enjoy that for however long it lasts, be it one more game or the rest of the season. The 7 game losing streak was very depressing so it is nice to have hope again.

The division is bad but we are still a longshot to run the table and win it. Carolina will be very tough. Romo took a beating in Miami and Carolina is very physical too - I can see Tony struggling with only 3 days rest.
