I was thinking of this same thing last night watching Hard Knocks. Being a fan of another team and watching this show has got to be hard. Look at the athletes this team has. Look at the superstars it has.

How do you sit there and not just drip jealousy out your pores?


I would have turn the channel if I were a fan of another team. Hard to endure something like that.

The Dallas Cowboys bleed excellence.....everywhere.

Honestly, you kinda get a chuckle. Great entertainment, some funny stuff, the guys enjoy themselves. Wade looks like the lovable loser fat guy that every group of friends has, TO just has this goofy look about him but you see what a great athlete the guy is, Jason Garret's dad is an interesting evaluator of talent, and Tony Romo is a playa in every sense of the word (except playoff time going back to college). Its an inside look at football, training camp, coaches meetings, inside the owners box, some great stuff that you simply do not get access to. I have watched every season with every team and have enjoyed it each time.


Jealous though? Quit flattering yourself and get some validation from something other then football

Point of this thread (besides Romo's 0-5 record in playoff games going back to EIU) is that Hard Knocks is a fun show for a football fan to watch. Even if it is the Cowboys, Chiefs, Ravens (and living in the DC area I have developed a bit of dislike for their fan base) I still watch it because I am entertained and get a view of the NFL I otherwise don't get

I certainly am not "jealous" of whatever team is being showcased.

We have won 3 Super Bowls since the last time you got there.

To be perfectly honest, that is now half a life time ago for many fans, and light years in football terms (myself included, being 26 now, I was 13 the last time the 'Boys won)

Clearly neither of our teams have done much of note in the past decade, with your Boys no playoff wins, and our team only having 2 wild card wins. Neither team has sniffed the NFC title game since Bill Clinton's first term in office.

Right now the Cowboys are the better team, but have plenty to prove when the lights are on in January. Right now the Commanders need to get the organization straight and start to make progress towards being a legitimate championship contender (which at this point the Commanders are NOT)

Well seeing how neither team has accomplished much the past decade (1 division title each, or maybe an extra one to Dallas counting the 1998 season) the chest thumping within both fan bases cracks me up.

As of today, one team appears far closer to a championship then the other. But the free agent era NFL is known for teams coming out of nowhere to take a title, and thats why we play the games (see 1999 Rams, 2001 Patriots, recent Superbowl winners with losing records the season before)

I shoulda wore my waders today. It's gettin' real deep in here. You're the furthest thing from a "football fan". Nice try. I can see right thru you. I think if this was the Giants doing this we would see a similar reaction from radio stations and our fan base, although not quite as cranky because, well, noone really cares about the Giants.

If they don't like Hard Knocks, the Falcons' fans can tune into MSNBC on Sunday nights. They are running an ongoing documentary on life in the prison system. Their former quarterback might show up on there.
