Henry is better than Bo, but for a 7th rounder, Bo is the perfect pick. He's not going to be run into the ground here. He's a nice pickup to spell Zeke and to keep the physical pressure on teams. I really like having a power back running behind our big O-line and battering teams into submission. This is the kind of running game that will get better as time goes on.

Likely nothing. Smith is a Hos on ST if nothing else.
I like Smiths general utility. Id like to see if he gets utilized more as a receiver this season.

I think him and Scarborough compliment each other in terms of what they bring to the table. Smith can makes some plays as a runner, but he isnt a nearly the pure runner as Scarborough. But Smith offers you alot of utility in blitz pick up and the passing game that you probably wont get from Scarborough, at least as a rookie

I'm not sure. I don't watch Bama that much but from his highlights he is a terror going downhill. I can see many DBs making Deionn Sanders type "business decisions" when it's time to tackle him. :D

He and Derrick Henry were a hell of a tandem at Alabama.

Will be interesting to see if Bo has enough elusiveness to make the roster. Definitely sounds intriguing to have a guy that can pound people in the 2nd half and take some load off Zeke.

He should look better than Zeke, he put up combine numbers that are very similar to Zeke...Zeke ran a 4.47, he ran a 4.52
He posted a better vertical leap, and broad jumped 11" longer...this will be nice...he will come in with fresh legs after Zeke breaks long runs where he needs a break...would be cool to see them run some gadget plays with Zeke and Austin as decoys and Bo getting the carry...they have weapons now for real. They could legit run the option with dak this year. Don't forget about the FB from Oakland that also runs a 4.5. This could be the year all the pieces come together.

Excited about Bo! Want him to get all the carries Zeke doesn't get. I think he could be a goal line hammer. underrated hands from what I saw on Saturdays.

He and Derrick Henry were a hell of a tandem at Alabama.
Henry won the heirsman in 2015; Bo had about 100 yards rushing for the season as a freshman.

If they were a great tandem it would be similar wwhn Michael Jordan and Stacey King were a great tandem :)

Another good value pick:

Overview

Scarbrough can be a runaway locomotive, but he needs a long track to get rolling or his effectiveness will drop sharply. Scarbrough won't make tacklers miss, but he is a brute force who can add yardage to the end of runs. Scarbrough is a one-cut runner who is best in an under-center rushing attack where he can get carries in bunches. He has the talent to be an effective NFL running back, but durability concerns and a lack of pass catching ability could cap where teams are willing to consider drafting him. His explosive testing at the Combine could intrigue teams who had written him off previously.

Strengths

  • Tapered, powerful physique
  • Is a punisher behind his pads
  • Can absorb solid blows and keep runs alive
  • Will always fall forward once he gets a head of steam behind him
  • Plays with steady tempo
  • Has surprising ability to gather weight and cut sharply downhill as outside zone runner
  • Generally comfortable making reads and choosing track from I-formation
  • Tackling him high ends poorly for defenders
  • Able to create additional yardage through power and long speed
  • Able to batter defenses late in game and then hit the chunk play
  • Short yardage touchdown specialist who can leap up-and-over the pile
  • Had dominant stretch against Auburn, Florida, Washington and Clemson late last year
  • Can thump in blitz pick-up
  • Hasn't had to handle a heavy workload thanks in part to Alabama's committee approach

He's got the measurables that contradict what you see on tape.

He is perfect for this online. Should make the team with supreme effort and a good preseason.
Broges--i am really pulling for him..hopefully he sidesteps the injury bug?

Twitter rumors said he would fall....Weight issues. Maybe Cowboys will beef him up and make him a G. Ok...I kid.;)

Actually like the pick....Question is ...Rod Smith...now what?

I see Scarborough as more of a replacement for A Morris.

Elliot, Smith, Scarbrough...pound the rock! Defenses will hate going against big backs all game with fresh legs. Add in Austin running jet sweeps and a few plays from the backfield will have them gassed.

Exactly, and we'll be spreading the field a lot, and jamming the ball down defense's throats. Physical defenses hate physical offenses. I think our backs including Austin just gave us a HUGE advantages against top defenses.
