We had a brutal schedule up to yesterdays win. We are into the soft underbelly of the schedule. We have a good chance at 6-7 wins. But 8 would be crazy talk.

Looking at the schedule, it’s quite possible that Dallas Cowboys could go on a run and end up 8-7. Maybe this is copium but at least hear me out. In the next four games, we are facing the 2-9 Giants, the 4-7 Bengals, the 3-8 Panthers and the 5-6 Buccaneers. None of these teams are unbeatable and crazier things have happened.

Win those four games and we can talk playoffs. Imagine that?
It’s possible but we have to remember things went are way against Washington. The Giants could beat us. Especially with their front 4. Let’s take it one day at a time. Rush could easily turn back into a pumpkin.

Doesn't matter. You're still contributing to Jerry getting paid by watching his product play. You still don't get it, do you?
Ah yes so all the non Cowboys fans who watch should just stop watching too? I don’t think you understand how these contracts work. I don’t buy tickets, I don’t buy gear. I contribute to the NFL as a whole. But please explain to me what I don’t get?

Just saw Cowboys are plus 100,000. Bet 1000 you get a million if Dallas wins the Superbowl.

Although ticket sales constitute an important revenue stream for individual NFL teams, they are nonetheless relatively small compared to quickly growing revenue from TV deals (you're probably noticing a pattern here). -- Feb 1, 2024

Your are like the chap cracking jokes and witticisms at the funeral. All 8-7 is good for is Yoda selling more merch to the naive. But if, perchance, beating struggling teams is your thing, 8-7 in the next four games will delight you. 8-9 strikes at the end of the season strikes me as Draft pick mediocrity hell.
Oh, my. I wrote hell. But I meant it.

I don't even want to imagine that. First, it's not gonna happen, second I don't even want it to happen. What, give up a decent draft position to finish a sad and half baked record? No thank you PLEASE. :banghead:

I’m a fan I root for wins not draft pick speculation . I was thrilled they beat the Commanders Quinn and all those ex Cowboys that litter that roster .
So was I. I strongly dislike the Commodes, traitor Dan Quinn. But that's one game. I want to see the Cowboys get a worthwhile draft position when it's all said and done. We need draft help more than a couple meaningless wins when the season is already shot.

I am not investing my time and energy in rooting for a team it’s players and coaches to say oh man I hope we lose today . Just not doing it .

I was listening to a guy called “ Louis Tee “ who does a Commanders podcast I love listening to the losing cities podcast after a Cowboys win .
Louis Tee funny as anything ripping Quinn Kingsbury Rivera Snyder etc etc said this and it makes sense .

Coaches and players don’t put in all that time in a practice facility game planning and preparing just to “ TANK “ and anyone who thought the Cowboys would lay down to the Commanders is a damm fool …and I paraphrase .

Here’s hoping the Cowboys D feasts on Tommy Cutlets Thurs . I’ll worry about April later .

One win and many are back in. This is why Jerry can sell so easily to this fan base while doing the bare minimum in the offseason. Dallas has 2-3 more wins in them….max.
Yeah jerry thinks he is great salesman, but really the fans are just so gullible.
Also fans WANT to believe, so they do. 1 win and we get a thread about winning out lol and getting in playoffs.

It’s possible. We have the Giants. Washington could be in the middle of a collapse and we have them again. Carolina is beatable and Philly could be resting starters when we play them in week 17. Even the Bengals and Tampa have had their issues. That high draft pick may not end up so high after all.
Yeah the Cowboys are really good at getting your hopes up only to crash them down

We won’t win out, and if we did or only lost once more- Jerry would def bring mm back imo. Playoffs aren’t happening happening even if we went undefeated the rest of the way

why make the playoffs when we know we are going to lose hard to any of the heavy teams this year. We could not cover a Washington receiver for a 85 yard TD pass in our PREVENT defense. if ANY of the strange and rare things that happened in that game do not happen, we lose. let that sink in for a minute.

The win over the Commanders was fun for what it was. And it's very possible that this team might get 2 or 3 more wins by the end of this season. But they still have been bad this season and one win doesn't mean they are good enough to the point where we can mark them having any "automatic wins." for the rest of this season. Even when it comes to the other bad teams they are facing the rest of the way. Cowboys have been bad enough where they are capable of losing to any of the other below .500 teams they are playing. One win doesn't suddenly mean I'm ready to believe they are a playoff caliber team who has a real chance to make a run in the playoffs.

The most a small winning streak might do is to drop the Cowboys in the draft and convince Jerry to bring back McCarthy for another season. Because Jerry would be telling himself "If McCarthy can do this with Cooper Rush and other back ups, then what can he do with Dak and a healthy Cowboys team next season." Also Cowboys might luck out and get in with 7 losses, but won't get in with 8. And I see the Eagles game being an automatic L if the Eagles still have seeding to play for at that point.
