8-8 or 6-10

So, would you rather finish 8-8 and be swept by Washington and draft around 18-20 or go 6-10 (or 5-11 a couple of times), and sweep Washington?

Personally, I'd rather go 2-14 and sweep Washington than to go 10-6, lose to those turds twice and get the one and done playoff bounce that we have pretty much patented for the past ten years. Nothing is worse than getting swept by those bottom feeders. It's only happened four times- at least the last time we won the Super Bowl, the other times we went 9-7 and 7-8-similar teams to the dog we have now.

I have a bad feeling about 8-8 being the reality this year, given recent events.

we are pretty much guaranteed 9-7

Don't know about that - Carolina probably waxes us next week.

With our lack of pass rush, St. Louis will probably hang up about 30 on us.

I thought we'd by 9-7 all along but now I'm thinking I was too optimistic - I think we lose the last 3 games of the year to finish 8-8.

Do you truly think a Harvard QB will put 30 up on us?

I think if Carolina beats us, this team gives in.

Zimmer's Ds have been toasted by rookie QBs many, many times over the last few years - probably due to lack of complexity and inability to generate a pass rush even with the blitz.

Which rookies QBs have toasted us? Off the top of my head, I can't think of any since Parcells took over.

I could care less about sweeping Washington or being swept if we win enough of our other games to finish ahead of them in the standings.

Didnt Eli Manning get his first victory against us last year? Not exactly a roasting but last year every QB in the league seem to have career bests against us.

Ben did last year in the comeback win.

Eli put up some solid numbers against us in the finale.

Boller did last year, but I guess he was a sophomore then.

That's all I remember off the top of my head. If you want to count Zimmer then I guess you can add Carr - just about the only time he has looked good in his career was the opener in 2002.

Manning did play well against us. Roethlisberger won because we basically gave him the game with that fumble.

Probably not unless we give them five possessions starting well into our territory, like we did to Washington today. It's not difficult to blow out a team when you have that kind of field-position advantage. It's the same thing we did to Philly in Week 5. If we make them actually have to drive to score, they aren't likely to score a whole lot.

True enough, but Peppers and Rucker will eat Tucker and Pettiti alive.

If someone told me in Aug we'd be 8-6 at this point, I would be ESTATIC. Frankly-it looked at first we would be up and down 8-8 throughout.

HOWEVER-after being picked by some to go to the Super Bowl last month-THIS is really sickening. To go from 7-3 to THIS. Forget the injuries, where were our guts and hearts in the Gints and Skins games?

Give credit to these 2 teams-they did just that this month.

I'm pretty sure he lead a couple of late game drives on us. One was shortened considerably by the fumble.

His numbers on the day were quite solid:

21 for 25, 193 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTs

If our OL plays like today, Bledsoe will fumble at least 10 times against Carolina.

Dumb post. I will take 10-6 no matter how we get it.

You would rather go 2-14 and sweep the Skins then go 10-6. Well I would care less if the Skins sweep us and our record is 14-2 and we have homefield through the playoffs.

If the Skins sweep us fine. As long as we are at least 10-6 and in the playoffs I really wouldnt care to much.
