Wolverine, I know people on a hockey board for the Montreal Canadiens who are like that. They hate the Toronto Maple Leafs and would rather go 8-74 with all eight wins against the Leafs than 74-8, win a Cup but have all eight losses against the Leafs.

It boggles the mind.

Eskimo, Roethlisberger was not bad against us last year but we gave him the game at the end (ah if only Williams had held the INT on the last drive, Roethlisberger might not be a legend in his own mind).

My point is that the rookie made the plays necessary to beat us at the end of the game - that is a good performance anyway you want to cut it. It is what QBs are paid to do. It is something BP doesn't seem to believe in.

So, would you rather finish 8-8 and be swept by Washington and draft around 18-20 or go 6-10 (or 5-11 a couple of times), and sweep Washington?

Personally, I'd rather go 2-14 and sweep Washington than to go 10-6, lose to those turds twice and get the one and done playoff bounce that we have pretty much patented for the past ten years. Nothing is worse than getting swept by those bottom feeders. It's only happened four times- at least the last time we won the Super Bowl, the other times we went 9-7 and 7-8-similar teams to the dog we have now.

Winning is the most important thing. You are so obsessed with beating the skins, you are starting to sound like one of their fans. This loss sucked, but making the playoffs is more important. Come on, let the emotions settle and think clearly.
