Herbert hardly had all 3 of those players on the field at the same time over the past few years.
We seen SF and how they lost 3 straight games without Deebo and CMC on the field, either one or both.

Not an excuse, just pointing that out, it still takes a team.
Apparently when Dak is missing his LT RG RB and WR he’s still expected to win though. Lol.

lol. Herbert gets all of the excuses I see.

Man had Keenan allen, mike Williams and Austin ekeler. That’s a pretty good supporting cast in offense. Just watching the game against Dallas alone he missed Allen wide open multiple times. That’s just one game
O
Poor Herbert!

He's only had Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Josh Palmer, Austin Ekeler and Gerald Everett, not to mention 1st-round pick WR Quentin Johnston.

Herbert can't win because Herbert's not a winner. Cute excuse.
He's got big names on defense too!

The thread title clearly states "playoff records".
Yet there's no actual win-loss record shown in the thread.
Weird.

Just wait until the Niners have to pay Purdy. If he stays healthy and plays the way he has, he might be making 70-75 a year

So, there are currently 8 QBs who make at least $50 million a year.............lets take a look at what these 8 guys have done in the playoffs.

Burrow (55).........lost a SB
Lawrence (55)........has 1 career playoff win, if you can even call it that (threw 4 picks in that win)
Love (55)................has 1 career playoff win, you guessed it, the curb stomping of Dallas.
Tua (53)..................has 0 career playoff wins
Goff (53)..............lost a SB
Herbert (52)............has 0 career playoff wins
Lamer (52).............has reached Conference Finals and lost
Hurts (51).............lost a SB

1. Out of these 8 guys, only three have ever made it to a SB and they all lost (Burrow, Goff, Hurts).
2. One guy has made it to the Conference Title Game and he lost (Lamar Jackson)
3. Two guys have exactly 1 career playoff victory in Love and Lawrence, but Lawrence needs an * because he threw 4 picks in that "playoff win".
4. The other two guys have put up goose eggs in the playoffs, Tua and Herbert.

I think this thread clearly demonstrates that playoff success is not a requirement to be among the highest paid QBs in the league.
How many years starting for each?

Age of these QBs?

Context cannot be ignored except by those with an agenda

I think the only one on that list that isn't playing on their first extension is Goff. He's been to a SB and NFC Championship with his second team. The others are all on their 1st extension. That's pretty important in my eyes. It's always easier to give a QB their first extension. 2nd one has to be a little more earned and that includes not choking in the playoffs every time you go. hah

What the hell does any of that have to do with this thread..................this is looking at the playoff records of the 8 highest paid QBs currently in the NFL.

If you are trying to make this somehow about Dak, move on, this aint a Dak thread..........nowhere was Dak even mentioned in this thread so move on bro if that is what you want to discuss.
They can't help themselves...Dak on their brain, 24-7!!

All contracts are based on regular season games, with maybe some playoff bonuses.

Kellen Moore was the OC. Who everyone here said was going to look like a genius with Herbert…. Minor detail. Herbert has all of the tools, i would trade Dak for him in a heartbeat. But using him as an example is just lazy because he just hasn’t been that great. Especially in the playoffs. Didn’t he throw 3-4 picks with a 20 plus point lead to lose to Jacksonville?
He had Moore for one season with ,ZERO OL AND ZERO RECEIVERS. Did you even watch a LAC game?

This is why I would start focusing on defense and running the football. I would try to build a shut down defense first. With a great defense, and a power running game, the QB matters less.

So because other teams are paying huge money for limited or no postseason success, we should too.

Amazing logic. Jerry loves suckers like you

It kinda sounds like your saying these guys really really haven't had THAT much more playoffs success than Dak (please don't say 'this isn't about Dak...)

But the truth is, taking your team to the conference championship, and winning it, and going to a SB, is SIGNIFICANTLY more successful than never winning a Divisional playoff game.

Someone will say "going to the SuperBowl is just TWO measly steps further than Dak hasbtaken DAL. LOL. Well...going to the SuperBowl is only FOUR measly steps more than going 0-17 in the regular season and not making the playoffs at all.

It's nice to know that after this year we won't have to talk about this anymore.

No, what he's saying is that paying your QB a huge chunk of the salary cap does not lead to winning playoff games.

This thread is irrelevant. You pay a player based on what you believe they’re going to produce in the FUTURE. Their previous play is a factor, but I think that’s why you’re seeing guys like Lawrence and Tua getting paid big money; they’re young and the organizations believe they’re only going to get better. You can’t say the same for Prescott, who has undoubtedly reached his peak.
