The AFC is stacked. Contenders include:
Bills
Dolphins
Jets
Ravens
Bengals
Jaguars
Chargers
Chiefs

The NFC is whacked. Contenders include:
Eagles
Niners
Cowboys
and Lions* to a lesser degree

I think the Lions have the attitude and have assembled talent at key positions, but I'm not confident in Goff.
The Seahawks will have to establish the run, but if they have to rely on Geno Smith, they're doomed.

As for the Cowboys, if there were ever a time this team could advance to the Super Bowl, now is that time. If this team blows this opportunity, I honestly don't think they'll get as easy a chance as this for quite some time.

I was actually rooting for the Lions last year cause they've been bad for so long and looked like they could be close to turning the corner and had a very high first round pick plus another and they walk away with...
A third down back and a MLB???
Same old Lions
they are going to be a more dangerous team this season……our game against them late December will be a dog fight

Whether you qualify as a “homer” or a “hater” I don’t understand how anyone can think that this years team doesn’t have a legit shot at a deep playoff run. Why not?

Major injuries aside of course.

I’m going to agree with @rambo2 for a change lol.

This is a good team, enjoy the ride.
The addition of Mazi, Gilmore, and Cooks gives us a better shot than last season

It’s just that after a quarter century of failure some of us won’t be swayed until we see an NFC Championship game……but I respect anybody that goes all in on the Boys as that’s their God given right

And yet he still managed to outplay Dakota and hang 40 on our Cowboys last season

and speaking of picks, Rayne threw 2 of them while Trevor threw just one

Lawrence….320 yards, 4 TDs against the top 10 Cowboys defense.
Prescott……250 yards, 3 TDs against the Jaguars 23rd ranked defense

Dakota has hit his ceiling years ago….Lawrence keeps improving and his ceiling is eons above Prescotts.

not mad……..just telling it like it TI Is.
So lawrence is why the cowboys lost that game?

I seem to recall a bounced ball for a pick 6 to seal it. That was Dak I guess?

I’m talking about the playoffs friend. Which according this site is all that matters

Ravens are on par with the Bengals I think. Last year they almost won the division while missing Lamar for all of December. If he were healthy, Cincy would have been a wild card team and Baltimore would have crushed Cincy round 1. Remember Hundley the backup QB almost knocked Cincy out of the playoffs if it wasnt for the goalline fumble that was the difference in the game. Their seasons were that close.
Ravens can't compete because of their QB contract......so the story goes.

Good point. The playoffs is all that matters in the end

For a month Lawrence was the best quarterback in football

when Lawrence gets to 2-4 in the playoff the Jags fans have every reason to have mad beef with him

Chiefs
Eagles
Bills
49ers
Bengals
Cowboys
Lions
Seahawks

Those are the contenders in my opinion.
I’m hugely suspicious of the niners’ ability to trot out a QB capable of getting to the Super Bowl. I think the Lions are gonna Lion. They may be good and score points but hard to see a team capable of actually contending. I think the Bears will be the surprise team in that division.
I just don’t see the hawks having the roster or qb to contend either. If you are going to include teams like the niners and hawks then you’d have to include Miami too. They have a stacked roster but questions at qb.
And while I don’t think the NYJs will win it all, hard to fathom them not being a real threat with Rodgers at the helm and a stacked roster.

I’m looking for Chargers to make a bigger push this year. Think Moore is going to make a difference with Herbert.

But man the AFC is so much stronger. Miami could make a push. Maybe even the Jets , Balt, Tenn, Colts , Den or Clev. And an outside shot in Pats.

I’m not sure the Cowboys would even be a playoff team in AFC. Would be tough.

He was. Until the playoffs hit and he threw 4 picks in a half of football. If not for a horrible OC on the other side he would have had arguably the worst playoff game of all time.

Interesting discussion but NFL still stands for Not For Long. Parity is still real.

Can’t see Tua staying healthy. He’s going to continue to miss games with concussions. He even considered retirement. I’m surprised the Dolphins didn’t go all in on Aaron Rodgers. With their receivers they could have gone a long way with him.
Totally agree. But I can't count them out if the team stays healthy. I still take them over Detroit and Seattle.

Lions can be good. And I wouldn't count them out of winning their division. I just don't think they are at the level of competing for a SB yet.

The Lions are one of the few teams that have never even been to a Super Bowl. Not about to buy into them.
Yeah, I can't see them getting to the SB for the first time. Even the Jets although I picked them as a possibility. They've been to a SB, but never as an NFL team.

Giants may miss the playoffs. One of the Eagles, Cowboys and Giants will miss the playoffs. I pray it ain’t us lol.
The Giants had a negative point differential last season. Of the last 10 teams to make the playoffs with that stat, nine missed the playoffs the following year. Cowboys and Eagles will come out of the East. No fear there for us.

One team will not be there at the end. My guess, the iggles. They must play a brutal season and everyone they play, it's the other team's SB. I expect the injuries to mount-up.

What makes the Eagles’ schedule tougher than the Cowboys’ schedule?
