8th pick after week 11

Another name to watch is oregon state's Stephen Paea. If we trade down into the 20s, I'd consider taking him. Play him at NT and move Ratliff to LDE.

Fairley seems like our kind of player. I'd like Prince but he will most likely be gone by #8.

Do people realize Quinn would be play OLB in a 3-4?

I like Fairley a lot myself. I like the fact he plays with an edge.

Robert Quinn can be a force, but there is no gaurantee that he can make the transition to 3-4 OLB playing in space at 275+ lb.

really I think as of right now

if we can't get Prince Amukamara '

then we trade down

go for either

CB Brandon Harris*, CB, Miami
OT Derek Sherrod Miss St
DE/DT Cameron Jordan, California

there is a supply of DE/DT an CB coming out this year

I am not nearly as high on Fairly as the rest of you

and I don't see us Drafting Quinn - and if we go for OLB I vote for

Bruce Carter, OLB, North Carolina
Height: 6-3. Weight: 225.
Projected 40 Time: 4.55.
Projected Round (2010): Top 25 Pick

this kid can play - and at 225 stick him in B James or even Brookings spot

This.

Really rather not select a DE in round 1.

It would be hard to pass on Derrick Sherrod OT Mississippi St right here. IMO it's still about 2 picks early, I just dont see him as a top 10 talent but the marriage may be just to easy at 8.

If Dallas thinks Young is the answer they may look to address the secondary.

Best value at 8 could be Akeem Ayers but I have know idea what we would do with him.

A lot different sitting at 8 then at 2 and 3 like we have for the last couple weeks.
He'd be a pretty good ILB. Sean Lee and he would be a great duo if we were willing to let Bradie James walk. I would be a little hesitant to do that though, because Bradie seems like the best leader the defense has.

Bradie James only has one more year on his contract

2011: $3.5 million, 2012: Free Agent

I really like Bruce Carter from UNC - way better than Akeem Ayers

Bruce Carter, OLB, North Carolina
Height: 6-3. Weight: 225.
Projected 40 Time: 4.55.
Projected Round (2010): Top 25 Pick

but lets go for

Quan Sturdivant, ILB, North Carolina
Height: 6-2. Weight: 232.
Projected 40 Time: 4.62.
projected 2

One guy who will likely either shoot up draft boards or get over drafted is Casey Matthews. Pretty good ILB for Oregon, cbssports.com has him listed as a 6th round prospect (way off imo), but I think he'll end up going between the 2nd-4th rounds

40 times this early are very inaccurate. I'm not sure how fast he is, but I bet he runs faster than a 4.78
