9-1 Heading to the bye

Next week could be a let down, as I am worried that this win gets to their heads. I hope they take it one game at a time, and take nothing for granted.

Right now I'm tickled with 5-1, and that sick move Witten made to get open at the goal line.

I hate threads like this. I wish this thread would get deleted. I hate jinx threads. One game at a time. Just enjoy the win and leave it at that. It serves no purpose putting the cart before the horse.

You mean like all the jinx threads about how the Seahawks were going to kill us today?

Just take it one game at a time. Giants and Skins won't be easy games.

When I saw the title of this thread, I shook my head and thought "this is the nfl. greedy greedy."

Then I looked at the schedule. These next 4 games are the easiest 4 games of our schedule, in part because of the 3 back to back to back home games.

If we were looking at the schedule preseason and were trying to figure out how the Boys could finish 10-6 and make the playoffs, we'd probably say split the first 6 games 3-3 and the last six games 3-3 and win the middle 4.

So now that we are 5-1, winning these middle 4 are crucial if we want to make a run for home field advantage in the playoffs.

Of course, we are talking best case scenario, but we should be a 7+ point favorite in each of the next 4 games. Although, asking any team to win 9 straight is a TALL order.

This is the same team that was down 21-0 to St. Louis. I love this team and the way they fight and play hard. But this is the NFL. You can't celebrate even big wins like this too long.

You never know whats going to happen when the Giants play in Dallas. Looks like V Cruz is done for the season so that should help.

What this win today gives us is breathing room. They should play to win them all like today but winning today is like playing with house money.

I think the Cowboys will be favored pretty heavily in the next 4 games. I think its reasonable at this point. I'd love for us to be 3-1 in those games.

Exactly....

Key Injuries could happen. We could just completely tank. Anything

If they lose any of the not cardinals games it will be disappointing. 2 division games though, so who knows.

I'm enjoying this one. Then start thinking about the Giants in a couple of days. I'm not going beyond that.

How come everyone says take it 1 game at a time? We don't play for the team... not a big deal to look ahead.

Because when/if the Cowboys fail to meet the 9-1 expectations that the fanbase creates, then they bail on the team or trashes the team for not living up to expectations. Take it one game at a time.
