It will happen again. It may not be the Cowboys who duplicate it but it will happen again. Heck, it's already happened if you want to get down to brass tacs. New England Pats 2001 thru 2004.
yeah but the boys from the glory days would have rolled NE.

ABQ if I were a mod. I would banish you from the board and send a hoard of locusts or beetles and maybe some rollie pollies to your house.:p:

Seriously I hate HATE the fact NE was able to match us like that, well that being said it is time for the Cowboys to set the bar a little bit higher once again.

Personally, I like the 70's teams better. That dynasty lasted alot longer. The 90's boys was more like a five year run. Landry's cowboys were consistent super bowl contenders for 20 years. No other team has ever matched that. I think that era's cowboys had more talent than the 90's cowboys.

I'd say probably not...this current team has quality talent, but hasnt so far shown that clutch ability to win big games, to put teams away late in games where we lead or to finish seasons...those were all key traits of those 92-95 teams

and frankly this team just isnt as talented overall as those teams were...Aikman was a better player than Romo...Irvin was a better player than TO, Emmitt was a far better RB than anyone here now...Harper was better than any of our 2nd WR's...that OL was vastly superior from a technique and consistency standpoint...the defense was better at rushing the passer and there is a HUGE discrepency betwen this groups special teams and those championship teams

not saying this team wont win a championship, but when you cant even win one playoff game its hard to say that you will somehow repeat or exceed what a team that won 3 championships in 4 yrs (and very easily could have been 4/4) did

David

Yep, they'll have to develop the clutch killer instinct and the will to win like those teams had... I mean that team was really close to winning 4 straight Superbowls.

You will never see another team as deep as the Cowboys were in 92 and 93 for any significant amount of time again because of Free Agency. So I doubt you'll ever see another defensive line that could honestly boast rotating 8 guys, all of whom could have started for pretty much anyone else in the league.

I'm a big time nostalgic fan, it seriously pains me inside when I think of the 12 years we've had to endure without a play-off win. I miss that era so much and I keep telling myself that we'll regain that swagger and dominance once again, but my brain tells me that no team will match those years.

I will agree with that.

Yea but those Patriots teams couldn't match the swagger and popularity that those 'Boys teams had, not even close. To me that's what seperates those Dallas teams from all the other great ones. Those Dallas teams are unmatched in terms of talent, star power, and popularity.

It wasn't even close between those 2 teams.

With the cap no team will ever have the depth the 92-93 boys had. Look at how many left the team as backups or sharing the position and went on to start for other teams. And some of the guys that we had backing up stepped right up to start and do well.
