i don't know if the 9ers have made any significant changes this off-season, but if we can go from 6-10 to 11-5 in one year maybe they are a team that can aspire to .500 and knock off a couple good teams.
like many of you i was quickly eliminated by thinking the Rams would walk all over them. now they face the Eagles who struggled in an opening day loss to the Falcons. is there any possibility the 9ers could win? we can only hope so...
either way, this game bears watching to scout 2 of our next 3 opponents. i want to see if Mc is functional, i want to see how the Mc/TO connection is faring, i want to see if the Eagles D has slipped one notch or two - but i'm also curious to see how the loser 9ers are making out in their self-made Purgatory. do they have any playmakers? who is even coaching them? what style of defense do they play? and are they still WCO? questions...

9ers come and go with Rattay at QB. He played well, thus the team won.

Let's see how he handles part II.

It will be interesting to see how the 49ers handle or not handle the Philly D.

Philly's MLB Trotter should be back and madder than usual due to the MNF rejection. That should make a big difference... SF most likely wont be able to run like Atlanta did on their D... Trotter makes all the difference for the Iggles and Philly should totally whip the 69ers... I hate both teams incessantly, but I'm forced to root for the 69ers on this one... oh well.

I cannot ever bring myself to root for the Whiners. I hope Philly splatters their brains on the goalposts. Even though Philly is in our division, it makes no difference to me.

If we are to be a superbowl contender this year, or the next two years we will need to beat Philly ourselves straight up. That would make the end to their run even more sweeter.

i despise the49er's but they couldnt even win 3 games last year, theyshow no threat to me or the cowboys, i'd rather them hand it to the eagles,

I hear ya, but I just cannot wish any good on the gay blades by the sea. Besides, if they did happen to beat philly, they would have to be a much better team than we give them credit for. If they can beat Filthy, they could certainly beat us at their house.

Niners had 7 sacks against the Rams last week and the Eagles OL looked shaky against the Dirty Birds

And McNabb is hurting from the pounding he took last week

The Eagles win but by not as much as some may think

But if we want to belive we can beat phili that means we have to be better, so who cares if they beat them, that says that if we win we can beat phili.

This game shows the weakness of both teams, and if they win this game, they will go at us 2-0 over confident and lose this game because of their cockiness, so i rather them win, then lose and play us even harder.

Can we arrange it to have both of them lose? Maybe sit in the stands with poison dart guns or something? J/K.

I think the Eagles will still be angry about both losing last week, and the way Trotter was ejected just before the game. I think the Niners will be feeling pretty good since they beat a division rival in the Rams. I fully expect the Eagles to absolutely destroy SF today. I'll be shocked if this game is competetive in the second half.

7 sacks in that game. Daym. I wish we could do that. As long as Mike Zimmer is the DC we will not see our 7th sack until somewhere around games 8 and 10.

We had two last week, that means we will have 7 by week 3-4
