The Green Bay/Arizona game ended in the most bizarre way with an Aaron Rodgers fumble that went into the hands of a Zona defender, and into the endzone in OT, sealing the victory for the Cards.

A day earlier, Romo was sharp and efficient en route to a playoff victory.

I wonder if the media will proclaim Aaron Rodgers as the new playoff goat, and Romo finally gets to lose that title after the mis-handled snap versus Seattle a few years ago.

In a word?

Nope. You will see the highlight for about a week, maybe two, and then you will see it only sporadically in the future, with very little negative stigma attached to it.

Why would they? Oh, I know...it's those 5 TDs he let Warner throw.

Was going to post the same thing. Rogers can't win the big one. Choked in a do or die game. It's time for the media to jump on this and harp on him until he wins a playoff game.

Absolutely not. They will talk about what a great game Rodgers had (which, he did) and how GB would not have had a chance without him (which, they wouldn't have). That said, Romo certainly got way more grief than he ever deserved. Dallas' local media was as much to blame for that as anything or anyone else.

nope ,aaron rodgers does not play for the dallas cowboys.

Rodgers was great.

Both defenses stunk.

The Arizona special teams weren't worth a crap either.

I think you missed my point. I'm not talking about the other TDs. I'm talking about how it ended, with a major blunder by Rodgers.

This should replace Romo's bobbled snap against Seattle as the biggest recent blunder in playoff history.

You're kidding right?

Are Cowboy fans so insecure that they have to concoct stuff like this?

It isn't insecurity. I'm just asking that Rodgers get an equal dose of what Romo got after that play.

LOL Don't bank on it.

The feeling around the league right now isn't "OMG RODGERS CHOKED", I can assure you that.

Yeah ok...I could see where a guy has someone coming in slamming the ball from his hand could be equated to a guy that bobbles a snap on his own.

Don't forget Rodgers missing that wide open bomb on the first play of OT, too.

Though I'm not saying he should be a goat. The defenses were the goats of this game.

Rodgers literally carried his team back from 21 points down.

Arizona called a blitz that wasn't picked up by the GB offensive line.

I think you're really reaching for this one.

Accept Romo's bad play for what it was– A bad play, and move on already.

Life's too short.

:laugh2:

Yeah, for a moment I had a flashback of the Seattle game.

Rodgers played as good of a game as you can have almost, but it's undeniable he didn't have a high-quality overtime. Like you said, missed the first throw -- a walk-off touchdown -- and fumbled to lose the game.

I don't think he deserves a stigma for it, but it does diminish his otherwise great performance a little bit.

He's still easily one of the best QBs in the game. A class Romo is also in.

This is dead on. Not a similar situation.

To quote Troy Aikman, "yes":D

I didn't know that Aaron Rodgers had so much loyalty in this forum.

It is his fault. Blitz recognition is the QB's responsibility...and he should have held the ball more securely.

Not so much loyalty...more of people that don't get all caught up in this melodrama BS.
