...yet no one seems to think the Boys or Pats will win.

I say Pats 34-20 over the Jags and the Boys 31-21 over the G-Men!!

It is sexy to pick the underdog that way you can tell everyone how bright you are....I think there is going to be a major reality check this weekend.

I don't think the Jags have a prayer against the Pats. Big Ben carved them up in the 2nd half last week and I still remember Drew Brees performance against them back in November. He had the best game of his season...35/49 445yds 3 TDs 0 INTs. Brady will dissect them like a frog.

I actually think the jags have a shot against the pats. the key for them is to pressure brady up the middle, as the eagles, ravens, giants and other did.

Exactly. Most people arent expecting the Jags to do damage except for a select few. Yet they're raining "Upset Special!" on us.

:laugh2:

Yeah the Jags don't have a real good chance to me... Dallas will crush the Giants too, Romo will carve that suspect secondary to pieces.

I wouldn't be shocked if the Pats lose to the Jags...but if they don't I have a funny feeling that they will lose in the SB. To whoever they play! Kinda like that last strike for a 300 game...everyone is watching!

I think part of the reason everyone is picking against these two teams because it has been since 1993 (I think that is the year, not positive) since both number one seeds made it to the Super Bowl.

it's even simpler

everyone hates New England and Dallas

There's also the weather factor too.

First and foremost, the Jags' run O will give the Pats' D alot of fits. If they're successful, then that's going to be a GAME on Sat night.

The public may hate New England, but ESPN and NFL Network are practically in love with them. Its amazing how once you talk about a team having a chance of beating them, you'll have some idiot "expert" saying you'll need five successful onside kicks and ten 2-point conversions just to lose close. Its sickening.

Forecasts show that winds are only gonna be already 10-16 mphs.

35-10 Dallas over New York.

31-27 Jacksonville upsets New England.

I was hoping for windy condition that would slow down the Pats passing attack. Unfortunately the forecast calls for a sunny day with light winds. While I think the Jags have a chance I think it is a very small chance. By the way forecast for the Dallas games, Low 50% with no rain

The Pats and Boys are going to roll this week. Once Big Ben pulled his head out of his rear, he lit that Jaguars secondary up. Tom Brady is about 18 million times better than Ben R. - the Jaguars are a nice story, but they don't have a prayer.

The only upset this weekend is Seattle. But noone's expecting that.

The Jags would have had a chance if it were cold and nasty in Foxborough this weekend, but from what I hear it's going to be 40 degrees and clear.

That means the Jags are in for a rough time. The cold weather would force the Pats into running more which favors the Jags. With the Pats having the ability to pass means the Jags are going to have to score quite a bit. Their rushing game, isn't going to keep up with the Pats passing game.

Favor: Pats

The Jags best bet is to be extremely physical with the Pats finesse offense and pound the ball down the throats of the Pats defense wearing them down. Even then, David Garrard will have to make plays, and he just isn't a big-time playmaker. He is more of a game manager. The running game is the key to his and the Jags success. If the Pats shut it down, they shutdown the Jags. Garrard, must keep the Pats honest. In fair weather, I just don't think it's going to happen.

I agree and no doubt the Jags have to get pressure on Brady without bring a lot of blitzes

No one? Really?

I was obvously using hyperbole to make my point...but there are plenty of media types calling for Jags/Giants upsets and frankly I think they are out to lunch.

There is a reason the Pats are 16-0 and the Boys 13-3....they are simply better...especially against these two wannabe's.
