If the QB is the problem, why is the team overhauling the WR core?
Looks like they are doing to the WR core what they did to the secondary last year.

Exactly The protection is everything for a young QB. Thats why I bet OL within the 1st two picksI don’t think the problem is with the WRs to begin with other than Dak and Dez don’t play particularly well together. Dak’s first 24 games in the league were record-setting after all. What he needs is protection.
He does work well with the fast downfield WRs though. Adding a few to the roster makes sense, since we’ve got the space right now.
Red may not be a integrated coaches boss. He doesn't inspire loyalty I have to admit.I think you’re right. Bringing in Lal and having Dez work outside the team on his routes seems like it’s probably intentional.
I wish we really knew what went down last season with the offensive personnel and with the WR group. There was some significant internal struggle there. And Dez was reportedly was close with Dooley at one point.
We generally have what I think is a stable and functional staff in Dallas under Garrett. But like the stuff with Callahan that bubbles up a few years ago, something went down with Linehan last year, and we’re not being told what.
catch radius of a couch pillow
Draft LG Hernandez in the 1st, sign OT Fleming for swing tackle, trade WR Williams for a pick. Offense should be complete.

I hate to say it but if the receiving core has gone stale it is the fault of the guys leading the players. They did great the year before. What has changed? Complacency? At some point you have to start looking at the coaches.
Because we’re Dug In on Dak for better or worse. We’re willing to flip all around him rather than him.If the QB is the problem, why is the team overhauling the WR core?

Dak needs WR's to be where the are supposed to be. He needs WR's to consistently run the route the way its supposed to be run. He needs WR's to hang on to the ball.
This offense needs WR's who can run more complex route combinations. They need to have a WR who can take the top off coverages.
Hurns and Thompson do that. Dez does not.
Dez makes plays after the catch. But all that helps is a qbs stats. He does not present an easy target by getting separation via speed or route.
Dak will, IMO, be better of with Hurns who is a high IQ player. And Thompson because of his speed.
If we replace or greatly reduce Wittens role in passing situations, you will see a much more dynamic offense now.
All this obviously hinges on Dak individually improving.

YesAre you sure Dak has the QB skill set to demand the above?
I highly doubt it after what we've so far from the Dak man.....
The fish stinks from the head and after last season our problems are many but QB will turn out to be problem no 1 no matter who we have catching for Dak....
Great QB's make sub par or average wr's look good. It takes great wr's to make a sub par QB look good.
Which do we have?
I can take your name on some things like Jesus is Lord, but everything else, I need more than blind faith.Give him this year and let's see. He had an all time rookie best year and a ho hum year last. Let's see if he can put it together.
It's just a name. Call me Bob if you'd like.I can take your name on some things like Jesus is Lord, but everything else, I need more than blind faith.
