I don't think there's any way we spend another first round pick on defense this year...NO WAY.

We'll add proven defensive players as needed via free agency and perhaps 1 pick on day one and others on day two of the draft.

We have found our QB on offense, improved our OL, and have decent, not great, RB's...we must start using our picks to get younger and better on offense, especially at WR. Romo needs a young, #1 type WR to grow with. We also need to tweak our OL, especially at OG, which is the easiest spot to find good guys in free agency and the draft.

Jerry, no more first round selections for defense this year...build the offense around Romo and tweak the defense under a new coordinator...PLEASE.

I think he'll be gone before we pick, but Dwayne Jarrett of USC would make the entire draft for me...big, fast, strong, great hands, YAC, can block, and comes from a winning pro-style system.

If he's gone, I think we'll trade down and take an OG or NT in round 1, then WR in round 2.

We have committed draft picks and money to the LB's on the roster right now...I don't see us trying to replace any of them in round 1....the same is true of DE, imo.

I think next year you'll see Hatcher replace Spears as the starter...Canty will come in a little lighter and more active.

I have been hearing that for 5 years now.

BTW, that SL Carroll-Austin Westlake State Championship game was great

I think this is the last straw on the camel's back. Our defense is about to implode.

and yeah the game was awesome. Nick Foles is amazing, along with the running backs, Bron Hager and that other guy.

Draft Josh Wilson somewhere in the third/fourth round. Kid is Aaron Glenn II.

Dwayne Bowe, WR....big strong and getting better.

Ben Grubbs, OG---Huge improvement over the Marco Polo.

Kareem Brown, DT/DE--Later pick..might be able to play inside or out in the 3/4.

Chase Pittman, OLB--Athletic enough to move outside. Good pass rusher.

Lawrence Timmons
LaRon Landry
Reggie Nelson

If LT declares for the draft (he is a junior) we better draft him, he has sick potential. He is a bigger Ernie Sims

LaRon Landry, ive liked him for awhile now, and a couple months ago he would have been my #1 guy for FS but........

Reggie Nelson, a friend told me to watch this guy play, i did, and he is sick, not overly big, but hits like he is Roy Williams, and is a GREAT Cover man. Has great instincts, and is a playmaker.

Has Ed Reed/Sean Taylor type personality, and playmaking ability.

In regards to the draft....Why does it seem like say the Ravens always find some psyco, in a good way, defensive end, or backer in the draft...Yet we use a million 1st round picks on players that don't seem to wreak havoc as they should, Ware excluded? Just don't understand?

I am a Tech homer obviously, but Joel Filani, a big, strong WR that has strength and speed......he has flat out taken over games at Tech.....he could be a 3rd or 4th round steal.

Yeah I saw him in the Texas game. He's a good WR, I'd like to see what he has.

there's a lot of coaches who work with them in practice.

hell, the DEFENSE works with the defense in practice, correct? maybe we should shell it and start over.

if a team is lacking in leadership it starts at the leader, not the minions around the leader. when the defense starts getting bad is NOT when parcells will back up and turn it all over to zimmer, right? no, defense is HIS FREAKING BABY and i doubt very seriously he's sitting around and leaving it all to zimmer.

well, maybe the blame part.

zimmer's D's before parcells were a lot better than we're seeing now, correct? everyone said smoke/mirrors and yea, we still had a pass rush issue.

but the *only time* this defense ever quit was last week and maybe the last few weeks.

i put that on parcells. you can blame the middlemen if you want, i just disagree.

I realize you put the blame on Parcells, but are you really that satisfied w/Zimmer as the D-Coordinator? If so why? Seems Zimmer's defenses have been lackluster even pre-Parcells. His 4-3 was even susceptible to give up the big play. Is this based on the one year we were the #1 Defense?

Whose this G from Texas?, Justin Blalock or something like that?. He might be a good pick. We might be able to trade down and still have a shot at him.

saying it's parcells fault doesn't mean i support zimmer, i just prefer to put blame where it belongs, not where it looks pretty.

we were a bend but don't break d w/zimmer alone. w/parcells we're a "don't give up more than 28 points" defense.

all zimmer?

no. this is parcells defense, his design and his players. to say zimmer can't do it is bogus and short sighted. yes maybe zimmer can't carry out the tuna's overall plan very well, but then maybe the plan just sucks.

either way zimmer is told what to do. you don't like what he does, whine at the person telling him.

Brandon Merriweather >> Reggie Nelson

And he'll be found cheaper in the 2nd/3rd round. He's a 1st round talent but will fall hard because of legal issues. I'd be willing to draft one troubled player because of the high character of our team. If this was cincy, I'd probably pass.

Joe Staley, OT (Central Michigan)

Watch any video of him and you'll be impressed like hell.

As someone who obviously gets to watch a lot of Tech football, of Filani and Jarrett Hicks, who do you think will make the better pro?

I've always liked Hicks.
