If you think back to the Parcells era, you might remember him saying that he didn't think that a franchise was "turned around" until they string together some winning seasons and playoff wins. The playoff wins remain to be seen, but for now, consider this:

Since 2003, when Parcells took over, the Cowboys have had 4 winning seasons out of the last 5 years.

I give thanks to Bill Parcells for putting this franchise back on the right track.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!!

I don't think anyone will not give Parcells credit for building this team. It's what he did with it. He wanted to shop for the groceries, but had some old recipes.

Too bad its not Thanksgiving anymore, you're late! ;);)

I definitely appreciate the "groceries" Parcells brought in and I am now appreciating the the cooking that the NEW staff is doing.

I give each side about equal thanks.

I think in a way Parcells was exactly what some of these players needed, not all but some. For example Tony Romo, he gave him very valuable information. I still miss old Tunas Press Conferences, he was really something, but its nice to have them new recipes

Did he? Or did he build a hot rod, like all fresh motors that needed to be broken in slowly? New defense, new QB.............. I think him doing things his way is the reason we have that hot rod screaming down the track today.:)

Just look back at where we were at end of 2002 season.

I give props to Parcells. Wade Phillips and staff are in a position to do what they are doing because of Bills work.

That's funny, I was thinking of the Parcells contribution - car analogy just yesterday.

Parcells selected, developed, and assembled most of the parts. Jerry added some critical components (several FA players, and the next set of coaches). Wade and Garrett made major adjustments and, with the assistance of a very capable coaching staff, have things running quite well.

When you've got a team that is doing as well as the Cowboys, there is plenty of credit to go around.

Parcells did a fine job of setting the stage. Jerry Jones made a series of wonderfully sound decisions. The current coaches are doing a fantastic job.

I don't know why some people seem to think that an excellent contribution by Person A somehow diminishes the excellence or importance of Person B's contribution. Again, there is plenty of credit to go around.

It's funny, Jerry said a few weeks ago that if Bill had known that we were going to be able to do the things we did in free agency (specifically Bigg Davis), he thinks he would have stuck it out - but a decision needed to be made either way, and he made it. What a year that would have been.

I think he built a hot rod but he didn't trust it enough to go as fast as it can. :)

I remember first time I installed 150 wet shot of nitrous on my Z06, took it down the track but was afraid I'd blow the motor so I took it easy for awhile before going wide open throttle.

I thank them all.

Bill built this team alongside Jerry and Stephen Jones and top personell people Jeff Ireland and Tom Ciskowski.

Now That same group Jerry & Stephen Jones, Jeff Ireland and Tom Ciskowski are putting players in place to build on top of what is here for Wade Phillips, Brian Stewart and Jason Garrett.

Also since we are handing out so much praise I thank unsung coaches like Ray Sherman, Tony Sporano, Skip Peete and John Garrett.

Brad SHam made a good point on wednesday saying that he knows Tony Sporano has a large hand in developing the game plans, he just isnt calling the plays.

I fear we may lose Tony Sporanao, Ray Sherman and Jason Garrett this offseason.
