I think in a way Parcells was exactly what some of these players needed, not all but some. For example Tony Romo, he gave him very valuable information. I still miss old Tunas Press Conferences, he was really something, but its nice to have them new recipes

Especially the over-paid leftovers that were busy sitting on the sidelines with boo-boo's every other week. I thank him for cleaning house to make room for some talent that wants to play football.

His over the top demeaning attitude was disasterous for the new guys and rooks, IMO.

Some of you guys are missing the MAIN POINT with Parcells. It wasn't just having better drafts. Parcells also was responsible for getting rid of the losing environment that had settled in during the early 2000s. That involves talent acquisition, coaching, influencing the FO to make better decisions (Stephen Jones, Jeff Ireland), and something very overlooked, bringing credibility back to the franchise.

Do you think Jerry Jones could have dug the franchise out of the hole by himself? (See Campo years).

This thread brings up an interesting question - will Bill Parcells ever return as a GM? As a coach the game may have passed him by, but he showed he still knows how to assemble a quality team.

Parcells did a lot of good, but he never won a same-season rematch against a team that finished with a winning record. Not when he was with Dallas anyway. (This is also known as the "December collapse," although we had some pretty impressive wins under Parcells in December--just not in rematches.)

Unless the Giants finish .500 or below, Wade just did it in his first year.
