What makes you think we're the only team who does it?

And why in the world would we do it if it's not because we think it's an advantage? To believe what you want to believe here, you simply have to suspend too much critical thought in order to accept the premise. 'Don't have enough sway to get him to change' something that, in your opinion, doesn't work? I'm sorry, but that's so far from passing the smell test it's not even funny. Of *course* they'd change it if they didn't think it worked. Of course Tony would be open to changing it if his coaches had an issue with it. Of course it works, as evidence by our effectiveness in the passing game. Just, all around. The only reason we're talking about it at all is because it bugs fans who see the clock counting down, get nervous that we're going to run out of time, and then conclude that the extra time is unnecessary as a result.

I've never heard a team justify this method of winding the clock to zero to get a read on the D until our justification. Any other coach quoted as justifying being poorly organized as some strategy? What coach would want his QB to wait until the last second to snap the ball? No coach, but a coach who understands that Tony has a great deal of pull may "work around it";) Again, never heard that justification before Tony, don't see it in the HS, College, and NFL games. But, yeah, it is a secret that only we indulge in? That don't seem like do mux critical thought on your part...

Sorry, but I can't give much credit to what you have or haven't heard before from other coaches on this topic without a better sense of how many coaches you might have heard address it. And the fact that you consider making offensive adjustments 'poorly organized' makes me even more skeptical re: your judgement in the matter, overall.

As they say, 'what can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence.' You're obviously free to continue to believe it, and I'll just disregard the criticism as unfounded until and unless you can produce a better argument. I'm sure it's not the only topic we see the team differently on.

This team wasn't poorly organized last season? Penalties, confusion, terrible on 3rd down? Coverage lapses galore, Witten doing his false start dance...I never said offensive adjustments equated to being poorly organized. Manning/Brady are great at audbiling but also great @ getting every one on page for that same play. No false starts, receivers running the wrong routes, unaccounted blitzers. If Romo's clock run downs resulted in organized aggression, there would be no questioning of this "strategy". We stopped the mass audibles this season and the penalties went down? Watching other NFL games gives me evidence. If a team was hit with delay of game penalites, I'm sure the HC will be asked about the Offensive complacency/lack of organization, and the couch would likely aim to correct it, but we arrogantly justified it as "strategy" even if it counters common sense. JG wouldn't get away with that simple reasoning/excuse in a tougher sports media culture.
