A Dak thread

Dak has been ok. He's looked great at times, and lost at others. The concerning thing to me is that his "lost" spell was the better part of a month's worth of games.

One thing I'm sure people have noticed is that even when he's on, its mostly short passes that get turned into long gains. That can work if the QB continues to play within his limitations and the game plan accounts for it, but its still a limitation.
I would need to see data to know for sure if that's correct. That was certainly the case Sunday, but sometimes appearance is different than reality

Ive watched ALL of the games.

Keep blaming everyone else but the average QB tho

What about the 15 million WR who has dropped two touchdown in the last two games?

Balls that were thrown “where Dez needs them”?

Dez is underperforming too. And that’s a fact.

Ok, so the QB’s #1 WR underperforming isn’t relevant when discussing his performance? Gotcha. Football players play in a vacuum I guess.

I’m not anti Dez btw. But I think the offensive woes go deeper than Dak’s performance alone.
Ok, i’ll play this game with you.

Dez has been credited with 4 drops on the season. 3 less than Julio Jones, who is probably the 2nd best WR in the league.

Look at the % of catchable pass targets he has compared to other top 5 receivers

Now you're cherry picking games.
The guy im responding too, brought up some passes that were dropped by wrs this last game.

Dak has been for the most part, inaccurate the whole season. And dont point to completion %, because his dink and dunks, manipulate that number...

Play the game all you want. I said Dez is underperforming along with Dak. I know Dak’s deep
Accuracy hasn’t been great. I have said as much many times before.

Dez still isn’t playing that great. Dez dropped two touchdown thrown Well the last two games. Yes or no?

Also, Dez being credited with 4 drops on the season is a joke. He has 3 drops alone in the last two games.

Unless they aren’t counting the jump balls that Dez has dropped. But if thats the case, it’s a lame
Excuse considering that’s what Dez is supposed to be best at.

At the end of the day, my posts weren’t about starting an anti Dez conversation. I am not anti Dez.

But hold the man accountable too. He isn’t playing well enough. It’s that simple. He needs to play better as our #1 WR and one of the high paid players on the team.

It's like some of you guys actually want Dak to fail.[/QUOTE]

Unfortunately, some of our FANS would rather see Dak fail than admit they were wrong. Only time will tell. I don't pass judgement on second year players that were thrown into the fire too soon. Garrett, on the other hand, HE SUCKS!!

I never said Dez doesnt have to play better. Youre literally making excuses in here as to why Dak hasnt been good this season.

And for all the praise Dak gets for this past game, and Dez gets crapped on, look at these two plays that helped out Dak’s stats immensely.

Look at the safety jump towards dez, opening up that big lane for Smith.

Look whos block springed Beasley for an extra 20 yards here

Yes lets cherry pick a few throws.

Go watch the San Diego, Philly, Washington, & Atlanta game and tell me he hasnt struggled with accuracy and mechanics. You wont though, because it doesnt fit your homer-filled agenda...

Cherry pick a few throws? Dez dropped a long pass that not only hit him in the hands, but his facemask as well. You want to talk about the coverage he draws and his blocking, but refuse to see he's part of the problem as well. Yes, Dak has been off, but not ALL YEAR as you claim. But, Dez is seemingly getting a pass from you and others.

...Sorry, couldn't help myself.

My point is I saw that Dak thread a couple weeks ago and God, how ridiculous to make such a conclusion on a second-year quarterback after a couple bad games. It happens to everybody. Dak redeemed himself as I knew he would.
He just beat La Tech and McNeese State.

He'll show is worth against Seattle and Philly soon.

I thought Giants game was first time he looked good in several weeks. Its a start. However, on all those long plays in Giants game I believe they were all throws for 7 yards or less. Still need to see him throw down field better and continue making teams pay for blitzing. Never questioned his heart but I still have some concerns about arm talent & ability to read defense when he is not getting "major" support around him.

The nice thing that I saw from Dak Sunday was that he seemed much more comfortable in the pocket than he has all year. The throw to Witten was a great throw. The one to Smith was the correct read under a blitz. It surely was not a down the field show but the long one that Dez dropped was right where it should have been as well.

It was a good game for him to get some confidence back.
