Well Jerry stated this summer at a luncheon that he asked the gods for just one more Superbowl. He further said, he built a temple for them, so I guess we should win the Superbowl this year as payment?

It would be one championship and then 13 years of no hope. And then on top of that, it's the fact that we all know we have no hope, so there would be no reason to cheer.

I'd take my chances to win it on our own.

I wouldn't do it. Excuse the pun, no way in hell.

I don't need a single Super Bowl win to make me love this team. I'd rather have 13 years of contending for the Super Bowl than make that deal.

From 1966 through 1985 the Cowboys had 20 straight winning seasons. I am more proud of that than I am the 2 Super Bowl wins and the 5 appearances in that time frame.

Why? Well, maybe it's because every year there is a Super Bowl winner, but only 1 team has ever had 20 straight winning seasons.

I tell the Devil to go to hell and hope we win it on our merit without his deal. If we did win it after making that deal, people would say, "yeah, but they had to make a deal with the devil to do it."

I'd rather not win it, but have a team giving their absolute best to win one or more. That would make me happier.

I wouldnt take the deal...NO way.

13 years of no playoff wins just to win one superbowl? No way take my chances win some playoff games and maybe win a sb. Not to mention those 13 years we would have to wait we would not have anything to look forward to.

I think the terms would be 3 super bowls in the next 4 years followed by 13 years of no playoff victories.

I think I take it.

I take that every time ....

3 Superbowls and then 13 years of rebuilding .....

If I live to be 88 that will be 12 more SB celebrations I get to enjoy.

If I live to 104 (and there is a good chance at that) that will be 15!!!

I would take that and die happy.

;)

Can we get there by knocking out the giants, then favre and the vikings, then shutout the Steeler in the Super Bowl?

If so, then yes

knowing you're gonna win kinda takes the fun out of winning so no, i wouldn't do it. Might as well just re-watch the 92 season since I already know how it turns out

Naw, i'll take my chances.

The BOLD in Hos's post made me think of that song.

The devil bowed his head because he knew that he'd been beat.
He laid that golden fiddle on the ground at Johnny's feet.
Johnny said: "Devil just come on back if you ever want to try again.
"I told you once, you son of a beach, I'm the best that's ever been."

And he played fire on the mount, run boys, run.

I dont believe there is a devil. So make the faux deal and lets start the parade!!

Right now on The Fan they are debating if they would sell there season to the devil if they could have a Super Bowl this year.

The terms: We win a SB this year, but we have to go through another 13 years of no playoff victories.

That would bring us into 2023 before another playoff win.

Championships don't happen very often. Although we have 5 in 50 years. It's an easy debate for the Detroit's and Clevland's of the world, but what about us?

What would you do?

Pray that jed is in the shower...................

I would absolutely sell my soul to Satan/The Devil/The Beast for a Super Bowl win.

And I would do it for all of you here at the Zone cause that's the kind of guy I am.

Dear Devil, sir:

I have to say that Hostile's statements and feelings on this are not necessarily representative of all Zoners.

There are some of us who would make a deal with you like in a New Dork Minute. Further, I harbor no ill feelings toward you and what you have done to mankind cause maybe we had it coming. And you ultimately work for the the Lord, don't you? I mean without you there would be no need for the lord, right?

OK, keep us in mind, Dear Devil. I am your servant and anything you can make bad to happen to the rest of the NFL teams, well, I am wit you.
And please don't approach me individually cause I don't do well with evil firsthand, except for Zrinkill and I have already prayed to the lord to send him to he. . .heck and to burn for eternity and maybe as long as it takes for USPS to deliver a letter across the state.

Additionally, if you could win us two Super Bowls in a row, that would be swell. OK, take my soul now and take care of it because now I am souless though I don't feel no different.
Amen.
And I am sorry I went to confession all them times.
